As a New Yorker, I think I know good Italian food, there's so much of it in NYC. Lombardi's in Seattle ranks at the very top of my list. We started with a Lemon Drop Martini which my girlfriend (an amateur martini aficionado) declared the "best lemon drop" she'd ever had. We just came back from Seattle. Lombardi's was one of our best restaurant experiences. The food was the best Italian we have had anywhere, the service was very friendly to our party of six, with only a slight delay in getting the desserts. I will return as soon as I can! more

Being in the neighborhood I have had several opportunities to give Lombardi's several chances. The food was OK each time but the service went from questionable to unforgivable. Perhaps the entire staff can not be criticized but I won't go back to see if my luck improves. The first few times some younger waiters were unfamiliar with the menu's offerings.... more
