We were greeted warmly at the door and found our wait very minimal and were looking forward to a wonderful meal. The smells coming from the kitchen were enticing and very promising. Our waiter was with us soon, (no name) and took some of our questions but took a long time in returning to give us our answers and take... more

I've ate at some of the best restaurants in America and let me tell you Il Bistro ranks near the top. My girlfriend and I ate here for our 1 year anniversary after reading about it on tripadvisor. The restaurant lived up to everything the best reviews said it was. We ordered the rack of lamb and the beef tenderloin.... more

The ambiance was just what we were after, very old school with antique fixtures and woodworking. The meal was extremely poor might have been better had they used " cheese wiz ". I was getting excited as my game hen came out only to realize it was completely covered with salt. Vegetables, main coarse, everything covered with salt! My girlfriend... more

Went last weekend with a crowd of business associates to this terrific subterranean bistro in the Pike Place Market. Always noisy and fun, it's a great place to get together with friends over superlative Italian-inspired food plus a great wine cellar. This is one of the hidden gems in Seattle's crown. Salads, bread, appetizers and service are always wonderful. My... more

After reading the great reviews on trip advisor about this restaurant we decided to give it a try, and were not disappointed. Before we got through the door a diner was just coming out of the restaurant saying he'd had a fantastic meal and to try the rack of lamb. As we had a late lunch we did not dine... more

My husband chose Il Bistro for my 30th b-day dinner after careful online research for the best Italian in downtown Seattle, and we were blown away by this place! We were a bit skeptical when we found out it was next door to Pike Place Market, but once you descent the stairs and enter the candle-lit interior, you feel transformed,... more

We were in Seattle during a record breaking heat wave and this restaurant did not have A/C. Initially we were seated in a romantic corner that happened to be about 95 degrees. The resturant was rather busy and we weren't sure we wanted to stay but we expressed our concerns with the waiter and they went head over heals trying... more

The last three days of our short Northwest execution were spent in Seattle. We quickly found many wonderful restaurants in and around the Market. For our last dinner however, I was looking for something special; quiet, romantic, and good food. The il Bistro did not disappoint. We stayed at the Sheraton by the Convention Center. The concierge in the lobby... more

Il Bistro is located in Pike Market; ambience is sort of old school dark. Our waiter was fine. My friend ordered the special halibut which arrived overcooked and accompanied by bittter brocolli rabe instead of the advertised spring peas. Waiter was quick to fill our wine glasses when she said she was not pleased. I ordered the lasagna which was... more

If you are hungry and need a place to relax, Happy Hour here is the best bang for your buck. The bartender is the most knowledgeable person about everything he serves and has a selection no others have in the area. Check out the Scotch selection! The only thing was meeting the owner who seems to thinks he walks on... more
