Beautiful view and great seafood

I had the 3 course dinner (about $24), which allows you to choose a bowl of chowder, a salad, and smaller portion main dish. Warm sourdough bread arrived shortly after our drinks. They are known for their chowder (5 or 6 different choices), and I selected the lobster chowder w/Pernod. It was rich... read more

We went here on a recent trip to Seattle. We walked around Alki beach on Saturday evening with a group of 8 looking for a place to eat. We didn't think about booking a table ahead so there was some wait (~ 1h). Luckily it was warm and sunny, so we decided to wait on the beach. The restaurant was... More

I was visiting Seattle to do some climbing. My daughter's FOL lives there and took my friend and I to Duke's for lunch. I had the Cobb Salad with blackened salmon. I am a real foodie having been in the biz for a while and the food here had us come back for almost every meal for the length of... More

I have frequently eaten at Salty's on Alki for many years . Last Monday we went again and had a big disappointment. The price of a martini was raised $1.50, which I understand with the increase in salaries. However, the martini glass was half full and served without olives. There were two people at the bar but it took us... More

This restaurant could be so great but it was marred by faulty execution. The good: The location is superb in a fun area of a fun part of Seattle. If you are lucky enough not to be there during Seattle's famous drizzle, you will see fabulous sunsets and lots of fun activities on the beach. The restaurant is homey and... More

Duke's has a great upper deck where views of Puget Sound and Washington State Ferries can be enjoyed! There are lots of options on the menu to satisfy everyone's tastes and hunger. We had the Penn Cove Mussels as an appetizer. It was a bit spicy, but we liked them very much. I had the Tempting Thai Ginger Halibut (5... More

And the view is great too! Halibut in a coconut milk ginger sauce. 5 oz size is ample. My husband had calamari and crab cake. Said both were superb.

Their chowder is gluten free and very good. Reasonably priced, good service, nice outdoor patio and good burgers.
