Pleasantly surprised

Stopped by for lunch & were pleasantly surprised by how good the food was. We enjoyed the fish tacos & Reuben sandwich. The patio seating is also very nice & service was great. We would go there again.

High points for a good selection of popular British beers. In particular the Old Speckle Hen and London Pride. I ordered the Shepherd's Pie, a dish I usually like piping hot. Unfortunately the dish was served just warm. Nice outside seating in the summery weather and good service. Wish the dish had been hot.

Perfect place to have a beer and snack on a sunny day!! I love their set up which is just next to the street but covers enough so that you won't feel that you are completely on the street. The beer I ad was really good though it has a small selection. The shrimps side dish was too good. We... More

We were going to try another place recommend by someone we meet but was closed. So saw this place. The food was ok and the service was the worse. The restaurant wasn't full and service was slow. We had to ask 3 times for water!!

Recently visiting Seattle my husband and I ate at this restaurant for lunch. Centered in downtown and near The Fairmont we thought we would give them a try. The restaurant and pub is one large room, we were placed next to 4 guys that were extremely loud and annoying and the food was average at best. Would not go back.

This is located two levels below the street so the outdoor seating is terraced, which is nice since you can sit outside without being right on the sidewalk. Our drinks were weak and one had to be remade. The food was OK but not all that special.

Went here with clients one night, lots of great pies and enjoyed mac n cheese with bacon. It's got big terrace and good choices of drinks.

Both years that I have been to PAX I've used Elephant & Castle as my lunch spot, it's near enough to be walkable but just far enough that it's not insanely busy. The food and pub faire are great, always nice to have some delicious beers and bangers and mash. Very reasonable prices as well.

Good atmosphere. Waiter Scottie was attentive, helpful, informative and funny. Stuffed Yorkshire pudding was delicious. Highland bread pudding was fantastic - a great recommendation from our waiter.
