This pub is actually part of the hotel ( the Red Lion on Fifth Avenue- now renamed the Motif, I understand)) in downtown Seattle, where I was staying at the time. It's underground, though there is an outdoor seating area for diners. After spending a day touring Seattle, I wasn't in the mood to scope out new restaurants, so I... More

When staying in the motif hotel situated just above the elephant and castle pub, It was easy to go to most days for drinks and food. The staff were all very friendly and the atmosphere was amazing. Would go back again and again!

The Elephant and Castle is a nice imitation English Pub in downtown Seattle. The food is good and the menu includes pub fare like Bangers and Mash and Shepherds Pie. They also have a Canadian section on the menu feature that candian concoction of french fries, gravy, and cheese curds. The service is excellent.

Great, basement pub with a ground level patio at pedestrian level with English red telephone box outside. Much bigger than it looks with a table pool basement below, and some nice touches like 'fake' library walls, and pictures of old British Prime Ministers on the walls. Comprehensive English menu. Like most places in Seattle, they only open around lunch (so... More

Typical Uk menu available at the bar restaurant . Good beers brewed locally. Yorkshire Pudding filled with beef was excellent.

I stumbled upon Elephant & Castle while wandering around downtown looking for dinner. I was seated quickly, and noticed soon after by the waiter. I ordered shepards pie, by his suggestion, which was really good! I am picky about this dish because it can often times be too greasy, but I was quite pleased with theirs. Overall, the menu is... We sat outside because it was so nice out. The food was average as was the price. The street people came round to use the bathroom in the restaurant and grab food from plates. While I was eating one of them kept asking are you done with that? He sat at the table next to us and watched me eat... More

In the basement of our hotel, OK bar food, like soup, salad, and burgers. Totally out of keeping with the contemporary Motif above.

We went to lunch at this restaurant after landing in SeaTac and checking in to the Crowne Plaza downtown. It was about a 10 minute walk, which was nice to see sights and learn what was around you. At first I worried about the service, but the waiter then got help and everything was wonderful. We were a group of... More

We were advised by Duck Boat employees to try this bar/restaurant for lunch. It is actually part of the Red Lion Hotel. The food, drinks & atmosphere was good, but nothing memorable. It was a couple blocks from the mall & across the street from City Centre. The waitstaff was friendly, but gave us some else's bill. There was a... More
