well done food good beverage so-so service

Very good food. On the way to the theater at Seattle Center, we stopped at McHugh's for dinner. in all fairness, we are not drinkers when we wander about, but the bar looked amazing! We went in for dinner. I had this incredible (huge) salad - it could feed two!. We had a chicken pieces appetizer and my husband had the fish and chips. The fries were fine. The chicken and fish were in the fryer just a... More

Husband and I enjoyed a quiet dinner here. We each ordered the TS burger. Mine was a little overcooked (I had asked for medium and it was well done). However, the flavorful toppings more than made up for it. Also the fries were seasoned well and cooked to perfection. I would have liked to have tried the freshly made pot... More

This place is amazing! It has a very rustic charm and is in a good location. We had the Guinness Pie and the Fish and Chips. We really enjoyed the food and the service was great! Would recommend.

We came in late after the Mariners game (10 pm) with our teen daughter. Server seated us quickly and took our order. There was a group in the adjoining banquet room singing Irish songs which was a nice touch (I guess they come in almost every Thurs night to sing together and drink beer/whiskey). We had wine and a Ploughman's... More

I was at TS McHugh's this past April. I had a 45 minute wait to get in. Once in, I had the chicken pot pie. The food was excellent; big portion, perfectly-done crust, good veggies and moist chicken. It was a very good meal, and the price was modest for Seattle at $17.95. The service was VERY slow, but in... More

Apparently this is place is a brewpub preying on tourists. Long wait for a table. Indifferent service. My wife got the beef pot pie which I admit was good. The bread was good. I got the flat iron steak sandwich which was the smallest steak I ever ate. Maybe 3 inches by 2 inches at best. Along with that came... More

There were lots of tables available at 5:30 in the afternoon on a saturday...But... the manager chose to seat us at a dinky little table near the beer kegs at the back of the restaurant. When we asked to move to a bigger table he said no ,they were fully booked. we left. Obviously they do not like tourism.

We stopped in for after dinner desserts. Our son had a tasty porter to drink. We also had good coffee. It's an attractive, Irish style pub with a lively atmosphere. We had a couple of desserts-- bread pudding was good enough, but we had a sort of chocolate truffle confection that was rich and fabulous to eat. Everything served by... More

It was fun to watch the locals while enjoying the chicken pot pie. It was tasty, but nothing out of the ordinary.
