Ivar's Original Acres of Clams has been a tradition since 1938. Seattle's most historic full service seafood restaurant is poised on Seattle's romantic colorful waterfront at Pier 54. This attractive yet informal restaurant has a wharf-like feel which showcases stellar waterfront views of Washington State ferries, Fire Station #3's waterside operations and Puget Sound. Our chefs create award-winning unique preparations to reflect the season's bounty, yet still showcase Ivar Haglund's world famous original recipes. You'll dine on wild Alaskan salmon, deep-water halibut, Alaskan King Crab, Dungeness Crab, jumbo prawns, manila clams, weathervane scallops just to name a few. Due to Ivar's longstanding relationships and purchasing power in the market, check the fresh market catches showcasing exclusive runs from the Northwest. As always, you can depend on our traditional seafood favorites featuring fresh steamed clams, fish 'n chips, Puget Sound clam chowder and much more. Ivar's Acres of Clams offers a variety of snack, dining and cocktail options for happy hour, lunch, dinner, banquets, groups and special events.

Nice place

Excellent service, nice interior, great food and great views. A little pricy but you pay for the good service and nice views. Their bills now include a tip, although they don't say how much, which we didn't realize. You can always add a tip but you'll notice there's no line for it since it's... read more

We just stopped in for a drink while walking around. The place is beautiful - and from what we understand, recently renovated. We sat at the bar which had a few tvs. The white sangria was refreshing. Made with peaches and grapes in syrup, the combination was delicious. And happy hour prices ran 3 pm - close. Also tried the... More

We arrived shortly before the main dining room opened, ordered clam chowder and fish and chips at the bar and dined in the covered area with a view of the water. It was delicious and as usual Barbara was right--the fresh air and someone feeding french fries to the seagulls was the perfect view!

I haven't been to Seattle in 20+ years--one place on my list this year, while in town, was head back to Ivar's. Still love Ivar's fish 'n chips. Good choices for my gluten-free beloved, which sometimes poses a big problem. The calamari is coated in a rice flour, and even I thought it was delish! He loved it so much,... More

We really enjoyed our lunch at this restaurant. Get there early so you can get a table near the water. The views are spectacular. The clam chowder is very good.

Good clam chowder!!! My friend had Dungeness crab appetizer with grapes and a salad. All were good. The main entres were out of my price range, but looked good. Our waiter was great-- patient and accommodating.

With the rebuilding of the Seawall and Bertha churning through the Seattle waterfront getting to Ivar's looks formidable these days, but once you get in the midst of the construction it is well signed to get to the recently re-modeled and re-opened Ivar's. New menu choices along with the classic favorites are reasonably priced and well-served in a spacious dining... More

Fantastic - I have grown up in Seattle and remember dining here as a child. It's only gotten better. We had a cod fish and chips and a bread bowl. The bread bowl was disgustingly awesome, clam chowder poured inside a fresh loaf of sourdough bread. The fish and chips were, per my memory, outstanding. Don't let the construction keep... More

Great service and wonderful seafood Every person in our group was pleased with our choices. We shared the 3-way chowder appetizer to taste all of the specialties. All good but we decided the NW seafood chowder was our favorite. Other choices were Fried Prawns, Halibut and chips, Salmon BLT and Romaine salad w added blackened salmon. I love it when... More
