My husband and I ate a plate of raw oysters, a plate of fried oysters, and a plate of oysters Rockefeller. Superb. Beyond divine. Service is excellent, wine list has something for everyone, the view is fabulous. Eat here.

If you are gonna eat seafood in Seattle, you must go to Ivars. I believe it is the oldest, most established restaurant in the area. Salmon and Halibut were is season. Fresh, Fresh, Fresh. Amazing food and service.

This place was recommended by our tour guide as a local's favorite, so we decided to give it a try. Our first mistake was not checking out the outdoor (seat) ordering part of the restaurant. We thought it was a take out service, it was very busy and we didn't notice the tables on the dock. We were hot and... More

My spouse had the fish and chips; declared the best he'd ever had. I had a very generous cocktail of tiny Pacific shrimp followed by some of the best fried oysters ever. They were lightly breaded, nicely seasoned and not greasy. We plan to return tonight, our last night in Seattle. Our table was by the water and a chorus... More

Goodness, only in Seattle! Had a berry salad with almonds and the aforementioned dressing, the goat cheese and crab dip and fish tacos. The bread, salad, cheese, iced tea were all wonderful!! Very busy at lunch, our server was good but not engaging as one would expect there. I was incredibly impressed with the food

We expected a better than average touristy seafood experience. What we got was a fresh, tasty meal with service that was over and above! Sergio did a great job with our table. One table mate said the oyster Rockefeller was the best she had had anywhere. Prices were reasonable, the seagulls put on a great show as promised by our... More

We recently entertained friends in Seattle while they were here waiting for an Alaska cruse. We are from the city of Tacoma, about 1 hour south of Seattle. We took them to the usual places like the Space needle etc. For dinner I did not know where to go but remembered Ivars from past trips. I took them down to... More

I used to live in the Seattle area. For years and years, one of the highlights of many trips down town was a stop at Ivars. I live now in Kansas, but still get to Seattle a few times a year. Nothing has changed when it comes to going there. A visit to Ivars on the wharf by the ferry... More

I got the king crab with potatoes, this dish was alright. The Fresh Alaskan Salmon with mash, portabellum, sausage was really good.
