There were seven of us in our group (including 2 kids and 1 teen) and there was plenty of room for us to sit together. The two kids ordered off a kids menu and enjoyed their meal. The rest of us struggled a bit to choose ... me because the menu in front of me wasn't the same as the... More

We stopped in for a late lunch. Strange that when we got there they had us wait for a table, but when we got inside the dining area the place was half-empty! Then, when the waiter found out we were only going to have a bowl of chowder he suddenly lost interest. The chowder was very good. Definitely their own... More

Grilled halibut on the lunch special menu was great. By chance we found out they have a nice half price bottle-of-wine selection on Monday and Tuesday. View and eat-in restaurant are wonderful. Seeing our ferry pull in we knew when to leave and walk on board, too. Johnathan, our server, was excellent.

This is a must stop when visiting in Seattle! Their original clam chowder can't be beat. And, you will enjoy watching the seagulls!

We were at a hotel nearby, this was convenient. We made a reservation at the other place (Ivar's Salmon Rest) and showed up here and they were very accommodating. We had a great water view. Had salmon - not cheap but it was excellent and our waitress was excellent. We were very happy! Lots of options on the menu.

We always come here to eat when we are at the waterfront. There is a place to sit inside if the weather is too cold or rainy and there is a place to sit outside along the pier. The seagulls are awesome! So funny! Get extra to feed them!

Having eaten at Ivar's fast food restaturants I expected tasty, high-priced food with a waterfront view. the view was great, the prices were very high, but the food is better at the fast-food places. Most entrees were prepared with odd sauces or glazes. It was impossible to just get a nice piece of salmon. I ended up with the fish... More

Growing up in Seattle, I still need to get my F&C's with a side of chowder fix at Ivar's. For a local chain, they do a really good job with quality food and a nice Seattle experience

Ended up here by accident. Overall experience was great and good was fantastic, particularly crab legs, crab cakes, bacon wrapped halibut and calamari. Kids food portions were big. Friendly server and prompt service despite busy Saturday night. Not cheap, but worth it.

We ate at Ivar's on a Saturday night at 7pm and were very glad to have made reservations-- the line was really long for a table! The food was great and the delicious sourdough bread is truly bottomless. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful in deciding what to order, being very knowledgeable about the menu. The restaurant is decorated... More
