My wife and I went here for lunch during the rush. The clam chowder in the sourdough bread bowl is to die for! Service was prompt and with a smile; and the meal and view was excellent! Every time we are back in Seattle, we will make a visit here.

We had just finished an Argosy Cruise and wanted to have some seafood. This was the first place that came to mind and we were so glad we stopped here. We had eaten at their quick service place, but had never been to the restaurant. It was very busy, but we were able to get two spots at the bar.... More

Some places become iconic, cliche, tourist trap, "gotta do it at least once" places for a reason. Ivars is just that. The ordering process - a giant wall st. style shouting fest is a thing all of its own - then the amazing deep fried goodness of the clams and the chips is definitely not overselling itself. SO GOOD. And... More

Googled "best clam chowder in Seattle" while visiting recently and Ivar's came up. Glad we went. I ordered a bloody mary and the acres of clams, and a side caesar. My husband ordered the Halibut fish and chips and a cup of coffee. Our kids ordered kids fish and chips (cod) and the kids shrimp. The kids also ordered an... More

Everyone always talks about Ivar's when they find out your going to Seattle. They have sit down dining & a fast food style outside. We did the sit down & had steamer clams & chowder. The steamers were a little on the smaller side & the chowder was good. The Ivar's in Safeco Field had the best chowder! Good atmosphere... More

My wife ordered the Cajun fish and chips. It was the best food we ever ate with the right amount of seasonings and spices. We will go back again

From 3 to 6 p.m. Ivars has a good happy hour along the waterfront, right next to the state ferry dock. With the lower pricing we triend a little of everything. The clams in wine sauce are awesome!

Great, great fresh Alaskan Crab - we're talking HUGE! It looked like something off of a Hollywood B-movie! Friendly, fast service. Great view of the bay. Will be going back on my next visit to Seattle! It is on the approved list, yeah Baby!

I finally got my salmon chowder and it was delicious and worth the wait (months)! Everything we had was delicious; cherry salad, crab cakes, halibut and prawns.

We had six in our group and we wanted to get some fresh oysters. It was about 9:40pm on a Wednesday evening and all the other restaurants on the Waterfront were closing or closed. Ivar's closing time is 10pm. Although we entered the restaurant near closing time, the hostess was super nice and she got us seated with a great... More
