For whatever reason, I didn't expect this place to be good - maybe the name? But I was very wrong. Great food, terrific service. I'd definitely come back... more

I just returned from Las Vegas and arrived in Seattle to watch the Mariners play the Twins that afternoon. Not much open on the pier for breakfast, spotted Ivars and enquired about breakfast. I was informed about the Sunday buffet.I did 6 0r 7 buffet's at the better Strip hotels in Vegas and was kinda buffetted out,but relented, paid the $25 for... more

Our family of 4 tried Ivar's Acres of Clams on Sunday, August 16, 2009. We stared with the appetizer trio, which was delish....... We followed this with the following entrees: 2 pounds of clams which the 16 yr old barely made it through. He said he really enjoyed it. Hubby had NY Strip with prawns because he knew I would... more

Right on the Seattle waterfront with several other restaurants nearby. Very good happy hour deal. Microbrews and well drinks $3 with several discounted food deals. Had mussells that were very good and frfiend clams that were the frozen kind you can buy at the store. So, choose wisely. Very friendly and attentive bartenders. more

I have lived in Seattle for 35 years and haven't been to Ivars in at least a couple of decades. At the insistence of my out of town guest we ventured in after a nice walk along the waterfront. Suffice it to say that it will be a couple of more decades before I will return assuming that I am... more

Returned to Seattle second week in April, and couldn't wait to get to Ivars as I had eaten a great crab louie there back in 2001. Much to my disappointment I could not find it on the menu. I asked our waiter who told me it was no longer on the menu but he would have the chef make one... more

I've been coming to Ivar's Acres of Clams on the waterfront in Seattle for years, and I have to confess a real love-hate relationship with the place. Food-wise, it's hard to go wrong with a sampler of fresh, regional clams or oysters. The Manila clams and Penn Cove mussels combination or the standard Acres of Clams (Manila clams steamed with... more

We visited Ivar's during Sunday Brunch. The food was tasty. The variety of seafood served was excellent: steamed clams and mussels, oysters, shrimp, king crab legs, salmon, etc. I was not sure what I should expect, given some of the reviews, but I had a pleasant experience. It was definitely worth the price, $25 a person. more
