This is not an inexpensive dinner. However, the staff is incredibly knowledgable about the menu, where the fish comes from, how fresh it is, etc. The location is fantasitc as well. Clients took me here for dinner and we sat inside by the windows and enjoyed and uninterrupted view of the Seattle skyline, Space Needle, sailboats, and kayakers. I had... More

Worth the trip just to see the decorations and the view of passing boats. Outside on the deck would have been great but way too noisy (under the bridge). The clam chowder was incredible and beat any of the eastern states chowders hands down (lived in Boston area for some time and thought I had tasted the best). The cod... More

We booked in here for Sunday brunch since the Ivar’s Acres of Clams on the downtown waterfront no longer has a Sunday brunch. We have great memories of a memorable brunch at the Acres of Clams restaurant several years ago. Although the brunch at the Salmon House was good it did not match our memories and had less seafood options... More

Why review THE staple for eating in Seattle? Because my wife and I had an exceptionally wonderful dinner here! We were looking for crab. Not buried in other flavors at other Seattle spots, but plain, elegant crab. So we headed under the bridge on Northlake Way, knowing the Salmon House would not let us down. Oh yeah. Red Alaskan King... More

Great experience at Ivar's. Excellent seafood with a beautiful view from the harbor. I love their grill salmon, wow... that was the great taste that i ever have. I still remember that taste. I definitely will go there again when i return to Seattle.

We come here often and the food is always good, never a long wait and a wonderful view. We usually go to the outdoor ordering area and they are very quick even when it's crowded.

They do such a good job with salmon - very tasty. And the Happy Hour prices are good. The view is quintessential Seattle, lovely!

Pretty large place with a great view. I live and was raised in Hawaii so I am hard to plase when it comes to eating seafood. Ivar's did not dissapoint. My mom ordered some sort of halibut with mushrooms and I ordered the surf and seafood with scallops. Both were really good and the service here was really good.
