Salmon lovers mecca!

Don't let the location on the waterfront fool you, this is a very nice restaurant. Great for business dinners or date night. Good view of the water. The salmon is the best I've had. They server multiple types of salmon and offer a sample to let you taste the difference between the types of salmon

we came to seattle for a conference and the organizers proposed to have dinner here. The location is beautiful, with a nice view on Seattle downtown. The waitress was very kind. I found the quantity and quality of food not so high, compared to the price: for 75 dollars we were given a small appetizer (salad with a very good... More

It had been a long time since I’ve dined at Ivar’s Salmon House, 20 years or more, but just like a fine wine, or in my case a well-worn comfortable Pendleton shirt, the food and ambiance at Ivar’s Salmon House seemed to have improved with age. I was glad they had not trifled with the basics of preparing and presenting... More

My husband and I arrived ten minutes early for his birthday dinner. We were seated on time, but at a table where we were quickly ignored. I guess being older means you get ignored as well. The most efficient person all night was the busboy. The waitress came about ten minutes later. We ordered drinks and appetizers with dinner. A... More

This fine seafood restaurant, with a great view of Lake Union and downtown Seattle, is on the waterfront at the point where the Lake Washington Ship Canal meets Lake Union. The view borders on the spectacular, but that's not why you should dine there. The food is outstanding. The Salmon House specializes in salmon, but it also offers halibut, clams,... More

Excellent choice for the best quality Salmon. Or you can order from a variety and selection in one location. Great small fresh muffins and desserts.

Our duck tour guide recommended this place while we were on our tour. It has been there for years very nice on place. The food was awesome and so was the wait staff. If you are there during the warmer months they have a patio you can eat on. The view at night is awesome you can see the out... More

Right on the water, Ivar's has that Pacific Northwest ambience that makes you feel right where you are! Great service, and the food was really good. Yummy warm bread and corn muffins with lavender butter are delivered to your table almost immediately. Nice full bar, great micro brews to choose from. I had the smoked salmon chowder to start, very... More

We did the outside take away from the walk up station. The service was fast, friendly and efficient. The meal is much less expensive than the sit down and waited upon meal inside. We took our food to the dock in front of the Salmon House to eat on a nice sunny! January day. We sat and watched the boats... More

Made a Sunday night reservation for Ivar's Salmon House as the last couple of times we walked up only to find full. Asked for and received a window table with a beautiful western view of Lake Union with Queen Ann hill and the space needle in the background. The server was very attentive and enthusiastic. The menu had a nice... More
