Description: Kells Irish Restaurant & Bar is one of Seattle's favorite hideaways...
Kells Irish Restaurant & Bar is one of Seattle's favorite hideaways. Situated in Post Alley above the historic Pike Place Market, Kells is a fine way to round up a day's sightseeing or browsing at the market. The pub is always alive with folks cooling off after a day's work. The restaurant will be sure to remind you of the Old Country with its warm, cozy atmosphere and traditional surroundings. There's also a patio outside that's a great place to feel the breeze from the Sound and the buzz of the marketplace. We also have a grand celebration every St. Patrick's Day. Kells proudly serves Seattle's largest Single Malt Scotch collection.

Happy Hour

My husband and I stopped in on a whim while walking through Pike Market and decided to grab a beer and a snack. We ended up with a cheese plate and a coupe of pints. The service was attentive and the food and beer were perfect after a long day of sightseeing and tired feet. Great, fun location!

My friend and I were looking for a late Saturday night fun and found this treasure. Very few nice places are open in Seattle post 11 PM and this one is the best. Its an AWESOME place. Though it was overflowing with people as someone was celebrating their wedding, the place has a soul and is very inviting. Most exciting... More

Popped in to Kells in Seattle for a quick lunch. Really enjoyed the food and prices were reasonable. We even had the pleasure to have the owner greet us and come sit with us. We shared stories of Ireland and both have family in the same locations. Nice connection.

Love the atmosphere and the food was great! The service really needs help as waitress forgot every part of our order at every step of the way. But, food, atmosphere, location all were fine.

Good food and beers in a nice atmosphere, a bit pricy as the portions I found were a little small. Very good service with a friendly waiter. Good place for dinner when you are in the Pike Place Market area.

Food and service were great... brie was super yummy and creamy, pasties are filled nicely, stew was very flavorful and lamb melted in your mouth. Beet salad has the exact amount of crispy. Service was great and portions were right for lunch.

I went online to find a pub close to our hotel for my Irish-Heritage husband. Kell's fit the bill being walking distance from our hotel and advertising live irish music in the evenings. The food was sooooo good!! Sausage rolls! Farls! Delicious! Then the music started. A solo performer with music SO LOUD it cleared the bar. We couldn't hear... More

Kells sucks. Servers walked past us regularly without checking in...even when we were waving and saying "excuse me!". In fact, two walked by at the same time and high-fived as they passed each other. The food was mediocre (smallest shepherd's pie ever) and even though their live music really tempts me, I will not be returning...ever. Plus: They have Magners... More

The seafood pasty was delicious, but the shepherd's pie was dry & the steak & kidney pie was so-so. Plus menu description of Danny Boy Special was wrong (said fresh roast & creamed potatoes, it was corned beef & cabbage )

Only one vegetarian option but it was delicious – the vegetable pasty. It is appetizer size, I don’t know why they don’t make it an entrée. The other food was also very good. We sat outside with very good people watching and since it is in an alley there is no traffic. The only downside is that the service was... More
