Description: Kells Irish Restaurant & Bar is one of Seattle's favorite hideaways...
Kells Irish Restaurant & Bar is one of Seattle's favorite hideaways. Situated in Post Alley above the historic Pike Place Market, Kells is a fine way to round up a day's sightseeing or browsing at the market. The pub is always alive with folks cooling off after a day's work. The restaurant will be sure to remind you of the Old Country with its warm, cozy atmosphere and traditional surroundings. There's also a patio outside that's a great place to feel the breeze from the Sound and the buzz of the marketplace. We also have a grand celebration every St. Patrick's Day. Kells proudly serves Seattle's largest Single Malt Scotch collection.

Great food, great beer, great music!

Stopped in for a pint, stayed for dinner and some traditional music. Top notch all around. The shepherd's pie and the Irish stew were great and the service was friendly and prompt.

It's what you would expect from an Irish Pub. Drinks were good and the atmosphere was more lively later into the evening. The Shepherds pie was good, and so was the service. Nothing super special, but a good option if you like Irish Pubs. There are 2 sides to the restaurant. One side is so quiet and if you walk... More

This used to be a favorite. Not any more. Bartenders and servers overcharge: watch out. They hope you don't catch the "mistake." Sad place with new management.

Fun restaurant/bar located very close to the Seattle attractions. The drink selection was really good for beers and ciders and wine. The food, on the other hand, wasn't as good. The potato farl is an interesting dish to try but I wouldn't recommend any of the seafood dishes (surprisingly poor for a restaurant so close to the Pike Place Market.)

We just went and had a few beers to fell the vibe of the place. We had just taken a ghost tour and the guide took us by the pub and told us many creepy stories about the buildings origin. It definitely has a lot of character but can not comment much on the food. Service was good.

We had a quick meal and a pint. Service was prompt. We sat downstairs as we entered off the alley and not 1st ave. Food was good. Hard to go too terribly wrong with Irish Stew and Shepard's pie. Atmosphere was buzzy, which I like. It was a Friday evening so there we some office workers letting off some steam... More

It was New Year's Eve but then have more staff on.. the waiter, when we saw him, was pleasant enough but hardly around. He did recommend the lamb and it was DEElicious!! My husband had the Country Chicken and it was good too. I had a nice Proseco, he had Chardonnay; both good. It is an Irish Bar, started out... More

My husband and I dropped in last night unexpectedly. The service and food was wonderful; our server was so sweet and very attentive. I had the shepherds pie and he had a delicious fish/scallop dish. Dark, authentic Irish bar/pub section with the warm and inviting restaurant on the other side. The owner, Ethna, came to our table to say hi,... More

We visit Kell's every time we visit Seattle. The food is always good, tonight I had the bacon wrapped scallops and my husband had the halibut - both excellent. His Guinness was great, I had a hot chocolate which was also good. As always the service was friendly & helpful.

We arrived in Seattle late Sunday night after a game. The pub was busy, so we chose the restaurant, as we were mostly seeking a meal. Our server was attentive and prompt, seated us and listed off the specials. My husband and I both ordered a pint of Guinness and the special of bacon wrapped scallops. The scallops were delicious...
