Description: Kells Irish Restaurant & Bar is one of Seattle's favorite hideaways...
Kells Irish Restaurant & Bar is one of Seattle's favorite hideaways. Situated in Post Alley above the historic Pike Place Market, Kells is a fine way to round up a day's sightseeing or browsing at the market. The pub is always alive with folks cooling off after a day's work. The restaurant will be sure to remind you of the Old Country with its warm, cozy atmosphere and traditional surroundings. There's also a patio outside that's a great place to feel the breeze from the Sound and the buzz of the marketplace. We also have a grand celebration every St. Patrick's Day. Kells proudly serves Seattle's largest Single Malt Scotch collection.

Great place

Went to this restaurant twice, once at night when it was more a pub atmosphere and once for lunch. Both times place was great, food and drinks were excellent and well priced, staff were friendly and fast. Would totally recommend and go again.

My friends and I went to Kells to have dinner. We ordered some beers and the lamb stew. The beer was good while the food was so so especially considering the price. In particular the stew was very very spicy and the taste of the lamb was completely hidden. Also the service could be better.

I have never had service as poor as I received here on 5/11 between 2pm and 3pm. I should have known from the moment the bartender tells us to sit anywhere, that we should have just walked out. It was embarrassing to take my in-laws from out of town to this place thinking it would be a classy enough joint... More

A rarity but this is an authentic Irish bar hidden down post alley that is definitely worth a visit. They also brew their own beer.

When visiting Seattle, I usually end up at Pike Place to visit family. A tradition is to go to Kells (located in Post Alley, right next to Pikes) and have a nice pint of Guinness, or Kilkenny. Kilkenny is hard to find, so a few years ago when finding out that Kells had it, I was sold. Unfortunately, this trip... More

Great Irish Bar and Restaurant. Little upset that they didn't have bangers and mash, but we had appetizers of Ballycastle sausages and Potato Farl Wraps. Good Smithwicks beer and Irish coffee.

Came in too early for dinner after day of sightseeing and the owner was gracious and seated us anyway. A little short staffed at that hour (our own fault) but the one waitress was helpful and pleasant. The food was outstanding! Extensive beer choices. Great desserts

This is just a tourist trap for the tired and hungry who are plowing around Pike Place looking for a meal. The food was awful, and although the server was friendly, i would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. Go into the neighbourhoods, get away from this travesty, and find a restaurant worthy of Seattle's culinary reputation.

I don't enjoy writing negative reviews. Luckily, I rarely have to. Our server was probably the worst we have ever experienced. Our welcome was lovely at the door though. We had our appies, drinks, main course and left within 35mins. We watched another server helping customers at a nearby table and really considered moving over so we could have him.... More

As I promised Karen (mgr. at Kells). I would love to write great things about Kells, but when treated badly by the management, well that out weighs everything. Came in to Kells for what should of been a terrific time for St. Patrick's Day. Before entering you pay a cover charge of $20.00 which comes with a St. Patrick's Day... More
