This is what restaurants used to be like - dark, dingy and a bit off-putting. But the food is good and the service is very friendly and prompt. Feels like home!

This place looked interesting on the outside so we had to go in. It's definitely a retro dive bar/restaurant but I really liked it because of it's funky atmosphere. It was a fun place to hangout with friends, have a few drinks and some food. We had drinks, chicken wings & salads. Their salad dressings are all homemade and really... More

Breakfast at Hattie's Hat was fine - basic food and gluten-free options available - but a bar atmosphere for breakfast is not my favorite.

We came here with my parents when they were in town visiting. We had never been here before, but was in a mood for a burger. Their burgers are large and delicious with many options to chose from. While we didn't have any, they also have a breakfast menu that looked good as well. Their staff was friendly with good... More

Takes you back to the early days of Seattle and Ballard when this part of town catered to the North Pacific fishing fleet. Some will say the place is dated, and, well it is but who really cares. The food is good and not over priced like many of the newer places on Ballard Ave. Go on Monday for $2... More

A restaurant with a distinctive character. Server personable and welcoming. Food was great. Pub grub with flair... I had the "adult grilled cheese" with the optional spinach casserole stuffing. Simply amazing. Equally tasty options for carnivores and vegans. Good selection of beer on tap but also wine and mixed drinks

A 1902 history of sea faring days in Seattle. Really old and dark but the server was a bright light. All tatted out. Very helpful and attentive. Food was very good and presented well. A famous mural on the wall and bar back wood is fantastic. Needs a handout on history. Could use a good sweeping.

We had a wonderful breakfast here, I had the Salmon scramble dish which was very delicious. The biscuits were very good, but I would not bother to order a side fruit plate...it consist of a tangerine, unripe pear slice and strawberries. We sat in the back room which was quite cool, I noticed everyone ate with their coats on. Despite... More

This place has a fun vibe. Our waitress was very casual and friendly. The food was good. For breakfast, I recommend the biscuits and gravy. I had the Ballard Scramble, which was done well, just wasn't quite my taste. My sister's biscuits and gravy were great, as were my husband's eggs benedict.

The food here was really good! I had a great burger with cajun fries. Hubby had the meatloaf, garlic mashed potatoes and spinach casserole and loved it. Topped it off with peach/rhubarb pie Delicious!!
