Good pub grub

We went to Hattie's for a quick burger before going to Tractor Tavern and we got exactly what we wanted: good burgers, good fries, good bier. Service was nice and fast and it seemed like a fun place. Prices were a bit high but I guess that's Seattle...

Really I expected much better of this place as several people had mentioned it. I arrived with several friends and we were appalled at the dark, grimy atmosphere. Still we hoped for the best. The food arrived lukewarm at best, greasy....the place smelled of old cooking oil, coffee was strong & stale... I definitely would say funky is being kind.... More

Was visiting friends in Ballard and they had a happy hour meeting planned for Hattie's, so I tagged along. Nothing pretentious at all about this place - and that's fantastic. Long bar in the front with some booths. Private-ish room in the back with booths and tables. Had a real "neighborhood regular" feel to it. Good selection of beers and... More

I went because the burgers were highly recommended by locals. A stout good burger with bacon and amenities was the result. You won't leave hungry. The drink selection covers all the bases desired. They are busy but this does not interfere with customer service.

Old school vibe, funky and interesting decor...heard someone say it's the oldest bar in Ballard..great bloody Mary, friendly bar tenders.

We recently ate here with a large group of friends and the service was great! Our waiter was charming, friendly, and knew the menu well. He gave excellent recommendations, and the wait for food wasn't too bad at all! We all loved what we ordered. I suggest the sweet potato fries with the tartar sauce (:

So HH is a Ballard, if not Seattle, tradition. Full menu ( American classics ) served with attitude, in an old school Ballard bar with booths and tables in the back. Can be abit noisy, and not a foo foo environment by any standards, but it's a smart choice for those in the know in Ballard, and everywhere else!

Stopped here upon recommendation from a local. Great prices, great breakfast options. My husband really enjoyed the Chicken and Waffles.

Drinks are good. Food is yummy. They serve grass-fed burgers. They were very accommodating to my food restrictions. They had sweet potato circle/fry things that were so good! Big roomy booths and friendly service.

Stopped in Hattie's Hat for breakfast; had the lightest, fluffiest hotcakes with butter and maple syrup, heaven on a plate!
