We recently ate here with a large group of friends and the service was great! Our waiter was charming, friendly, and knew the menu well. He gave excellent recommendations, and the wait for food wasn't too bad at all! We all loved what we ordered. I suggest the sweet potato fries with the tartar sauce (:

So HH is a Ballard, if not Seattle, tradition. Full menu ( American classics ) served with attitude, in an old school Ballard bar with booths and tables in the back. Can be abit noisy, and not a foo foo environment by any standards, but it's a smart choice for those in the know in Ballard, and everywhere else!

Stopped here upon recommendation from a local. Great prices, great breakfast options. My husband really enjoyed the Chicken and Waffles.

Drinks are good. Food is yummy. They serve grass-fed burgers. They were very accommodating to my food restrictions. They had sweet potato circle/fry things that were so good! Big roomy booths and friendly service.

Stopped in Hattie's Hat for breakfast; had the lightest, fluffiest hotcakes with butter and maple syrup, heaven on a plate!

Went here for breakfast. They have been open since 1904. I had the chicken and French toast. The food was good especially the chicken. Large portions. I would eat here again.

Hattie's was recommended by a local who described it as "more punk rock" than your average bar. It was indeed. The atmosphere was great. I ordered a blue cheese burger and chicken wings. Both were phenomenal. My partner declared the wings to be the best he's ever had and continued to press the waiter for the "secret" wing ingredient. The... More

This is what restaurants used to be like - dark, dingy and a bit off-putting. But the food is good and the service is very friendly and prompt. Feels like home!

This place looked interesting on the outside so we had to go in. It's definitely a retro dive bar/restaurant but I really liked it because of it's funky atmosphere. It was a fun place to hangout with friends, have a few drinks and some food. We had drinks, chicken wings & salads. Their salad dressings are all homemade and really... More

Breakfast at Hattie's Hat was fine - basic food and gluten-free options available - but a bar atmosphere for breakfast is not my favorite.
