THis place is fun and the menu very simple. Order your entree from the counrt and get unlimited sides. Borscht is also great. Very satisfying lunch in the midst of Pike Place.

Cafe Yarmarka is a hidden little spot deep in the bowels of the Pike Place Market off the beaten path and away from the tourist lines at other eateries on the main street. I was not familiar with Russian food but decided to try it. I ordered pelmeni which are small dumplings stuffed with a mixure of beef and pork.... More

Here's how this place works: you order one of a few staple-type entrées (Pierogies, cabbage rolls, etc) and then get whatever sides you want. I got there at like 11:30 on a Saturday, just before the lunch rush, and the two people working there were extremely friendly and helpful, making suggestions for which sides were the best (hint: try the... Service is horrible...very unfriendly personell. We were here on a Saturday and two girls (not even Russian!) were just being downright rude. Pelmeni were just the frozen ones you can get in any Russian supermarket.... More

The owner had forgotten we were going to be there and wasn't quite ready to serve a crowd of 12 but made up for it by serving another tasting that hadn't been planned for us. The food, which was completely unfamiliar to me, was... More

My husband took me Cafe Yarmarka which is in the Pike Place Market. It's a small counter with 2 tables for sitting, or you can sit at the counter. The 2 workers spoke Russian to each other so I knew this was going to be authentic. I ordered the cabbage rolls in which you get either 2 side salads or... More
