Fabulous food & good service

It was our anniversary. We wanted an adult place with really good, interesting food. This is it. Tough choices from tempting charcuterie plates to fresh oysters, to pastas and great mains. Lark is a waste of money. The beautifully presented green chickpea soup was the smallest serving that I have ever seen and even with the carrot espuma and small piece of fried mint there was nothing to elevate it above canned soup. The $35.00 halibut while well cooked was a tiny 2" x 3" portion. The Crescenza lasagna with squash blossom,... More

So I hate over sized servings. But these were so small that we left and went to Meat and Bread next door and shared a sandwich. Our starters, soup and a salad were just good, not better than that. The soup portion was probably three ounces and the salad just okay. Our main courses, my halibut was the smallest entree... More

Lark moved in December from its small space on 12th Avenue to a lovely new space at 952 E Seneca Street (at 10th Ave) -- Beware, the online maps have not all caught up to the new location; however, the above address will get you there. (It's behind the IHOP on Madison.) The food, the service and the room are... More

The setting is very appealing. While the platings were on the small size, my wife and I shared 2 appetizers, 1 pasta and 1 main dish. The quail was delicious and the clams were outstanding. Crispy trotter salad was a winner as well. Specialty cocktails before dinner were really good. Definitely will return

The good: The restaurant is beautiful, very light and airy, lots of windows, beautiful bar area. Small but really well laid out. Back wall filled with wine bottles, arranged in a wonderful pattern. We had clams that were excellent, and the halibut was perfect. Less good: the gnocchi was not good, it was served warm - I think it had... More

We were looking for a place for dinner for 2 couples on our mutual anniversary. After reading reviews of many restaurants, I suggested Lark. We had been to Lark in their old location several times but not to their new place. We started with happy hour drinks and oysters in the bar at Bitter/Raw. We migrated down to Lark for... More

I love the new location of Lark. It look cool and chic. Unfortunately, though the food was good, the portions were tiny (which is important since my husband and I always split an entree, so we don't want a lot of food to begin with...but by tiny, I mean TINY) and expensive. Lovely staff.

We celebrated a birthday at this restaurant. Our waitress was friendly and it made dining an extra pleasure. Our cocktails were wonderful as was our meal. The restaurant is a bit pricey so I would definitely say it is for special occasions. The seating is extremely comfortable and the decor is modern.

Warm, professional service. Beautiful presentation. Good selection on the menu of interesting foods. All around a nice experience. You do pay a bit more to eat here, but you get what you pay for.
