Great food -- crab cakes, salmon!

The view is awesome. It was a very warm, sunny day so I was glad we had reservations. The wait for outside was 50 minutes, so we sat inside, but could still see the beautiful water and mountains. An incredible view looking out on to Puget Sound, interesting drink menu, and delicious food. What else do you need?

If I could have rated Ray's higher I would have. We took my mother to celebrate her 80th birthday and couldn't have been more happier with the service or the food. The one food item that wasn't our favorite was the calamari appetizer. The crab cakes and the clam chowder were delicious. I have seen a lot of bowls of... More

Met family for lunch at the Cafe recently. It has been a few years. I grew up in Ballard, remember Ray's as a real boathouse, even went there with my dad for a Lion's Club luncheon in about 1958 or 59. I've been there since then, but my visits have been well spaced. I remember I liked the Cafe better... More

We have been going to Ray's for more than 20 years. It's our "definitely summer" place. It used to be the place to get great, amazing seafood. So it was with great disappointment that we found Rays to be so bad this last time. The seafood was overcooked - even after we sent back the salmon - overcooked again. The... More

We went on a beautiful May night. We sat on the deck during a gorgeous sunset. The food was really good. Our server was a pleasure. Make sure to try the local options on the menu.

Ray's is a short drive north but the food and the views make the trip worthwhile. Everyone in our party enjoyed their more than enough to eat meals of the freshest in seafood and locally grown side dishes. To add to the delight of the meal, finish it off with a walk along the canal.

With visitors from Chicago in town, we opted to hit Ray's for seafood. Did not disappoint. Half dozen oysters on the half shell may have been best ever! Calamari good, just not stellar. Fresh salmon won rave reviews. Ditto for halibut. Deconstructed clam chowder was less of a hit despite its gorgeous presentation. I could eat the smoked sable fish... More

It was my first visit to Seattle and my sister decided to bring my folks to Rays for Monthers Day Lunch and she did not disappoint us. The service was great as the waiters were very helpful and attentive. The Buffet had a good selection from appetizers to the dessert . I also was captivated by the great view which... More

The food is fine -- I had the Dungeness crab cake, well-seasoned -- but the real appeal is the position on Shilshole Bay north of metro Seattle. My friend wanted to dazzle me with a view of the Olympic mountain range, so it was mission accomplished. I really enjoyed this place except for the volume, which was amplified by hordes... More
