The word in Seattle is that The Hurricane Cafe has finally closed permanently. The site is being redeveloped for another skyscraper. Sad to see it go, but it had outlived its time. I went there because it was reasonably close to the hotel. The first characteristic I noticed was a pervasive urine smell inside the front door. It was impossible to ignore. I went toward the middle of the restaurant to get away from it, but it still persisted. I was on the edge of walking out, but I did not. The... More

This place is NOT Upscale! But it has fantastic food and service! It's a local Diner that might be considered a bit of a dive. It's also a bar with a loyal 20 something following. It does a big bar business at night. I THINK the Diner part of the business is open 24/7. this is my favorite breakfast place... More

The Hurricane Café was recommended to us by our hotel (La Quinta Inn) as being close by and having good food. They were right! This is definitely your typical greasy spoon/dive bar. We were the only customers besides a guy sitting at the bar so service was quick and friendly. We had burgers & fries and they were good. Reasonable... More

This small restaurant / bar is close to hotel and food was good. Very likeable staff. Would recommend.

Tip of the hat to the people at the front desk of my hotel nearby who recommended the Hurricane as a "real greasy spoon and dive bar". 24 hour café that offers its omelets in three sizes - 4 eggs, 6 eggs or 12 eggs. What's not to like, along with the 50 or so Mr. Potato Heads that add... More

The outside and inside leave a little something to be desired. The booths have ripped vinyl on them. But, the food is good and inexpensive. They have a large menu for breakfast and other meals. Our service was really good and so was our food. I liked it and would go back.

down to earth restaurant. Wanted breakfast late in the evening and it was available. Not a fancy place.

The building both inside & out is not very appealing but the food was okay. This was the closest place to the Best Western Loyal Inn to grab a bite to eat.

We had a breakfast recently in this cafe. The food was really good, the service was fabulous but the surroundings were extraordinary. It was just like every cafe scene from every film made in the USA I have ever seen. It was amazing. The waitress was great and typified the experience but when she said it was closing down, I...
