Great Food, Service, Atmosphere

This is a busy, popular place on Capital HIll and offers a great breakfast menu. The day we visited there was a Basque theme going on. It looked interesting, but my husband and I decided to stick with the standard menu. I ordered something called the P Patch Breakfast, which was a scramble with... read more

lots of interesting options to chose from. think i just chose the wrong item. my husbands scallops were excellent-perfectly cooked which is difficult with good combo of flavoring.was starting to get noisy which is something hate in a restaurant. great location. lots of window shopping, dining, shopping all on one street made for a good evening.

I went over for the tuesday oyster special night - I was impressed by the warm, energetic and bustling atmosphere. puget sound oysters served were fresh as, exactly what I wanted. I also ordered salted cod croquettes, okay as croquettes go as well as pork belly with bean confit & herb jam, basque dishes spruiked for the month. Belly of... More

Of course, how one enjoys a meal depends not only on the food, service and decor, but also on one's company and mood - and the night I had dinner in this restaurant I experienced the convergence of all these. The result was a meal I will most likely never forget. But, to the food: we tried many things, including... More

Checked this place out on the advice of some locals for some good seafood. I really enjoyed it because you can tell it is a restaurant that knows what it is and just delivers good quality food at a fair price. Highly recommend.

This is a place I could imagine returning to because there is a solid menu where seafood is featured (but there are lots of other non-seafood choices) but where the star is the rotating menu that focuses on another Coastal area and its cuisine and drinks. We were there recently and Basque food was being celebrated but other coastal areas... More

I stayed in Capitol Hill for 4 days and I have been twice for dinner and 3 times for breakfast. The Coastal Kitchen is a very nice place open daily from breakfast to dinner. The service is really great and very friendly. Food is excellent and good value. I checked many places around, this is the nicest place. The breakfast... More

we visit seattle once in awhile and on this occasion we explored capitol hill. we just parked our car in a neighbourhood around 10th and Mercer and walked around. We walked up to 5th and discovered a great mix of shops, cafes and restaurants. we walked the whole strip until we decided upon Coastal Kitchen. There was a lineup for... More

Good food, pretty good atmosphere, and reasonable prices. The menu is heavy on seafood, one of my favorites. It seems to be a neighborhood restaurant, I think the area is called capitol hill, although I'm not sure why.

Great location and very good oyster bar. One of my favorite things about going to Coastal Kitchen in the fall is having a great selection of oysters to choose from. The wait staff is helpful and on this visit all the bottles of wine were the same price. I have never seen this anywhere else.
