Kingfish Cafe came highly recommended so we ventured there. GREAT atmosphere (no a/c) and super nice staff. Slow service but that didn't matter as we weren't in a hurry. Ordered fried chicken - big mistake. VERY overdone, super dry, and rock hard. Over priced - 2 corn muffins $3.50 and not that good anyhow! Sorry but the adorable, cute decorations... More

We had a nice dinner at Kingfish Café on a recent Thursday night. My wife had the ribs and I had the fried chicken. Both were excellent The ribs had potato salad and corn bread the chicken and potato salad and greens. I tasted my wife's ribs and there we excellent, but the sauce is very rich and later in... More

Service was slow. Food was fair-to-middlin. Potato salad was very good. I liked the collards, but my wife, who is from the south, found them spicier than she liked them. The fried chicken was o.k., I've had better and I've had worse. The "pineapple upside down cake" looked like a large cake with a thin layer of pineapple on the... More

The interior is nice with high ceiling and we went on a nice day - not hot so it was very comfortable. While the ambience is nice, we also need to have good food to go with it and disappointingly, the food was not satisfying. The portion seemed large only because of the collard green and potatoes that was piled... More

So the food was good, the drinks were good, the decor was cool, but I am taking off a star for slow service. I enjoyed myself here a lot, but it took so long to get our check or to put in our orders. The chicken and waffles only come with 3 wings, but I was splitting it with my... More

I went with my (adult) son to celebrate his birthday and was pleased with his choice of restaurant. He warned me about the portion size so we skipped appetizers. I had the blackened salmon which was delicious and he had the shrimp and grits which was stunning. We ate outside next to a beautiful window box and finished the meal... More

What a terrific first time experience! Couldn't resist ordering more & more from the Variety of appetizers & entrees. Crab cakes are crispy outside with creamy crab filling.. Loved the slightly spicy Caesar salad and My oh My the Gumbo was Beyond belief... Room left? Gotta have the dark chocolate cake with cool mint icing.. Yumm is the word for... More

I couldn't believe how quickly such great tasting food could happen! The fried chicken was the best ever. The pot pie was huge (it had to have been 8 or 9 inches) and perfectly cooked. The jambalya was equally oversized and wonderfully seasoned. Don't miss the red velvet cake or bread pudding.

My partner and I love this place! Each time that we have been to the Kingfish Cafe for dinner, we have enjoyed both the service, and food. We have never had a problem with service. Our servers have always been attentive, and friendly. Servers do much more than some people know. Expecting them to be at your table as soon... More

During our visit to Seattle, we had the pleasure of dining at Kingfish Café. Started with great service from our server Narissa, ( hope I spelled that correct) The our experience included the Fried Chicken meal, BBQ Pork Shank, Shrimp and Grits and the Pan Fried Catfish. All were just wonderful. Our compliments to the Chef!!!!! We ended our dinner... More
