I observed a sous chef did not wash his hands with soap after using the restroom. I left the restroom and asked a waiter for the manager. A lady presented herself as the person in charge. I told her about my observation, she refereed me to the head chef. The head chef got upset with me and blew it over.... More

Small neighborhood restaurant with good variety on menu. For two of us we had 8 dishes and two beverages, tables were smallish so perhaps waitress timed our dishes accordlingly. We were impressed that our waitress remember all our orders without writing it down, she didn't miss a beat. We had a Very good dining experience.

Grew up in South Florida where I took fresh fish for granted. Moved to Tennessee where they have basically no idea what sushi even is. Shiro's was where my husband and I ate for our first dinner in Seattle. It. Was. Fantastic! I tried uni and fried shrimp head for the first time and enjoyed both. Staff was super friendly!

We were one of the few non-asian people in the restaurant, which I took as a good sign. The tuna and salmon just melts in your mouth. Very High Quality. Next time I come back ti Seattle this will be the first restaurant I go to.

Arguably the sushi is the best in Seattle, the fatty tuna, hamachi, albacore, ikura and tamago were excellent. Go for the basic rolls like tuna or spicy tuna where they excel, the other rolls are pretty standard and can be found in any Japanese restaurant in the U.S. I like to eat a few rounds of sushi and sashimi with... For a first timer it's likely better than a one star but for somebody who has eaten here for ten years am officially DONE with Shiro's. Hiked prices, smaller pieces, original recipes bastardized or off menu. It's not the same and has become a tourist trap. I'm really sad.

Drove down from Vancouver just to try this place out. We started with chawanmushi, black cod and the geoduck. -Chawanmushi was bland. -Black cod was okay. -Geoduck was nothing special. They used the part of the geoduck that cannot be turned into sashimi and cooked it. Save your money for the geoduck sashimi... its a different part of the geoduck... More

Very difficult to get a last min reservation but I was travelling so tried my luck. After a short wait, I was seated and had excellent service. It's my 3rd time here so I can confidently say the service and quality don't change from time to time. Sushi is first rate with a mix of fish flown in from Japan... More

Our Japanese friend from Seattle recommended Shiro's, and we went there while we were visiting the city. We made reservation, but had to wait a little while as it was very crowded on Saturday evening. We tried some appetizers (Agedashi Dofu, Fried Calamari, and Poke), sashimi, sushi, and miso soup, and everything was very good. Sashimi and sushi were very... More
