My son showed me a video of the famous Sukuyabashi Jiro restaurant in Japan with Anthony Bourdain eating sushi prepared by the 80 year old master. Shiro appeared in the video and he is now owner of this Seattle restaurant in his name, on 2nd Avenue. We knew to make reservations ahead of time, and to get there early if... More

When you are new to a city and you want to eat great sushi , look for the restaurant with the most amount of Asian kids rating there. That's what we did and we weren't disappointed . The sushi was great, we Sat by the bar and had whatever the chef recommended. It was soooo good!

We called ahead for reservations at a table and ordered the tasting menu. The sushi was so good that I have since become snobbish about sushi from "regular" sushi restaurants. We didn't sit at the bar, but if we ever go back we'll try for that.

Our group showed up here at six one evening on our trip to Seattle. We were willing to wait two hours for a table, but lucked into a great table in less than an hour! Our adventurous diner had the Omakase and said he loved everything! Each of us loved our choices. It was a real treat!

One of the main reasons we visited Seattle was to experience the local sea food. We had some great experiences with the more traditional offerings, and then we heard about Shiro's. We arrived at a pretty busy time, so the wait was about 40 minutes. The hostess took my phone number and told me she would call me 10 minutes... More

We wanted to experience the popular and traditional omakase at Shiro's, so we were prepared to wait a long time to sit at the counter. And it wasn't a bad thing, because we could walk around and visit a nearby bar and have some drinks until the hostess called our cell phone to let us know we're ready. The chefs... More

Shiro's is fantastic a quick shout out to my cousin for turning me on to this place. Do yourself a favor and sit at the Sushi Bar and talk to this man he has to be 80 but sharp as a tack knows more about sushi than anyone else I have ever met.

My son explained the connection of this restaurant to a famous restaurant in Japan. The owner of Shiro's Sushi on 2nd Ave.,worked at Sukiyabashi Jiro. He, my 27 year old son, waited for my visit to Seattle so we could experience the restaurant together. We arrived 20 minutes before the doors opened on a Saturday, a line with 25 people... More

Food was ordinary. We were served and out in 40 minutes with a $80 bill for dinner. We felt like being pushed out. Unfortunately nothing to remember of.

This was some of the best sushi I have ever had in my life. It's traditional sushi. Not a lot of huge fancy rolls. But smaller simple rolls focusing on the fish at reasonable prices so u can try a little of everything. The fish is very fresh. The service is very good. I would definitely go back here. It's...
