My wife and I dined at El Gaucho this last weekend for our Anniversary and it was outstanding! The food was great with service to match! We will be back.

We had the pleasure of having a business dinner here during my last visit to Seattle. The location makes you feel like you've been transported to a fancy prohibition speakeasy. The staff was fantastic and knowledgeable. The food was fantastic, high quaility, creative, and most importantly delicious. I had bites of pretty much everything at the table and it was... More

I don't mind paying a lot for really good food! But this was expensive and not really really good food. The Caesar salad was good but way too much salad. The entree was really good but way overpriced. The mushroom risotto very salty, and the thank you fruit, cheese, and nut tray at the end we couldn't even touch. When... More

It seems like the trend is for even lower lighting in most restaurants these days, so El Gaucho actually provides flashlights with the menus. The food was very tasty, fresh and moreish. The service was hit and miss, considering that the place didn't seem busy on the evening I was there. The food was good enough to be considered for... More

Great wood-coal cooking! Delicious food but more importantly great service. Been there several times and never stops impressing me every dish I tasted

Walking into El Gaucho immediately brought me back to a time as a child when my parents would eat at a "Supper Club". The decor, layout and design of the El Gaucho was well thought out! When you walk in the room is dark, the circular booths around the room. I just wanted to stand in the room in and... More

There are a number of places where you can enjoy a delicious steak, but El Gaucho consistently finds itself on the top of my list of those places. The Chateaubriand for two is the best option on the menu. Everything is included on the plate, no need to order a side dish. You get potato, and a vegetable and mushrooms... More

Many bemoan the lack of fine dining locations, places that are worth getting dressed to the nines. In a world where casual dining is all the rage, there is still at least one monument to elegance left and that is El Gaucho. Maybe it's the décor, which reminds you of places you've only seen in movies. Or maybe it's the... More

Superior and friendly service. One of the best dinners of our lives. A lot of tableside service. Pricey- but it was a worthwhile indulgence.

This is a steak place but its not about the food its about the place. You step into the 70s and its dark, so unperturbed by photons that you are given a flashlight to read the menu. In the distance a dais for beverages grabs a disproportionate share of luminance, to become a radiant altar for alcohol diversity. You feel... More
