Why did we wait so long to come here?

Our friends were in town from Maine with their daughter who applied to UW. They took us here and I was blown away by the quality of the food, which was only surpassed by the service. We used the valet parking...a real plus in downtown these days. As others have said, it is dark when you enter... read more

Went for a friends 60th birthday party. The main room is interesting, like being in a time warp. Wasn't sure what to make of it at first, but once we sat down and started eating it was amazing. The cocktails were great, the table side Caesar was outstanding and fun to watch, the steaks were fantastic, and the bananas foster... More

Service was amazing, food was fantastic, and the ambiance is great. We celebrated our anniversary and the staff had rose petals and a card waiting for us upon our arrival.

We were in town on business, our client brought us here. Very cool place - has the feel of a 20's Jazz club or something. I had the DIVER SEA SCALLOPS & GRILLED PRAWN LINGUINE. This was the best dish I have ever had. It was so good, I was raving about it. Scallops & Prawns done perfectly. My coworker... More

This is certainly one of the top restaurants I've ever been to. The truffle soup was so amazing. Our waitress told us if she could, she would lick the bowl. My wife and I were close to doing the same. The steak was amazing and the asparagus was cooked perfectly. I had the cheesecake for dessert, which was mediocre. Specifically... More

The atmosphere is reminiscent of a restaurant or dinner show of a bygone era. Very classy, romantic, dimly lit. Loved it...felt like I was in an episode of Madmen...could so imagine them dining somewhere like this. We sat at the very cool bar to have their famous bananas foster, which is made tablside and a very cool show. Can't wait... More

We went to El Gaucho and had one of the best meals ever! When entering the restaurant, my first impression was that it was awfully dark. But once seated, they had penlights at the table for you to use to help read the menu. We started with a ceasar salad. Not only did it taste great, but they prepare the... More

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary here. I took him as a surprise and he loved it. He said it was his favorite place to eat! It is pricey but its worth every dollar. The food is amazing and the staff is as well. They made our anniversary very special!

We were in a private room for the wedding and dinner. The service was wonderful-we had around 40 people. Had the filet with lobster and crab and it was delicious. The ceasar salad was marginal.
