El Gaucho is the beef sister to Aqua and doesn't compare. The wait staff and sommelier were superior but the food was good but way over priced. The wine was excellent but shamelessly marked up. Would not be on my list to return and wouldn't recommend it at all Tom B

Where do I start? The ambiance greets you as you walk in, tables are not to close together which is nice if its a romantic dinner for 2, the service was second to none which America does so well... The food was served as we serve it in the UK at a gentle pace, all plates cleared away when everyone... More

Known for steak in classy night club atmosphere accompanied by pianist. Steak overpriced. Great bar and service.

Wonderful atmosphere, you think you have stepped back in time to an old dinner theatre. Dark, romantic, and the food and service are the tops! This is a five star restaurant all the way! The baseball steak was recommended to us by a friend, and it did not disappoint! The sides and desserts were delicious too! If you are in... More

We dined here for the first and last time a few days ago. For a group of 10, the price tag came to over $1200. I have paid that much for a meal many times before, but frankly, at that price, they should serve a truly outstanding meal. Sadly, this meal was just average. I had a seafood pasta dish... More

You go there and finish like been in the kitchen cooking by the smoke in the dinning room. Worst steak in Seattle. Dark like a discotheque.

Whatever your view on dimly lit steakhouses where you can't have dinner for two without dropping at least $200, this one does what they do as well as any of them. Brilliantly executed every step of the way, we were particularly impressed with the wait staff and the Caesar salad made table side. Count on El Gaucho's for a great... More

El Gaucho has been a standard for fine dining in Seattle for years. The food: steaks, lobster, caesar salads, mushroom soup, cherries jubilee, I could go on, are world class. Yes it is a little outdated in the decor department and is dark, I agree. The service is first class. If you want the fine dining experience, and it does... More

I LAVA me a great steak with some great service. Service is ah-mazing here. Food is ahhhhh-mazing here. Wine is ahhh-mazing here. Everything is ahhhhhh-mazing here. :) Recently visited for HH for the first time and it's definitely overpriced. But the hubs liked the steak sandwich and the clams were pretty good. I'm not sure I'd come back for HH,... More

We ordered an age steak and asked the waiter how and where they aged and he didn't know. When we received our steak we could tell immediately it wasn't aged at all. The waiter returned and said they are aged off site. For the price of the al carte entrees you get great service and mediocre food. The décor was... More

Thank you for your feedback and review, although we are sorry to hear that you did not receive a 5-star El Gaucho experience. We can assure you that all of our steaks are 28-day, dry-aged at an off-site facility. We have a great partnership with SmithCo, who dry-ages our beef to our specifications. We pride ourselves on delivering a top... More
