Dinner on Sunday Night at El Gaucho

This is a surprise gem in Seattle but bring your check book, it is not the least expensive meal. My husband and I split and had more than enough food, extensive wine list and a complimentary fruit, nut and cheese platter at the end of the meal was unexpected and delicious.

This was my first visit to El Gaucho, and hopefully it won't be my last. The food was spectacular, the service was stellar, and the drinks were on point.

My review is for room service from this restaurant to my room above. I ordered a salad and an appetizer, beef tips in a cream sauce (El Diablo). Order was placed around 7 pm. Food did not arrive till 7:45. So the wait was very long. Other than that, the meal was a true delight. It was presented beautifully. And... More

I'd recommend the four course meal but make sure that you come with a big appetite and I'd suggest making it the center piece of your evening (we dined for almost 3 hours). You won't regret it! I had the crab cakes, table-prepared caesar salad, steak trio (three uniqued prepared cuts of steak, 4 oz. each), roasted sweet corn, and... More

El Gaucho Seattle is collocated with the Big Picture and movie/bar/theater. So a perfect place for a dinner and a movie. I went with my wife and mother-in-law and we had an amazing experience. The steak was simply perfect, amazing char and cooked to the point. Very attentive service, and the sommelier was very knowledgeable. The place is super dark... More

El Gaucho has a great Steak and a variety of seafood options. The wine list offered many varieties. You must try the Pancetta Wrapped Jumbo Prawns and the Tenderloin Medallions. It's a great place to take someone special!

We were in Seattle for one night after our Alaskan Cruise with our family of 19. We had no reservations for dinner but high expectations. After conferring with the Westin Downtown Seattle Concierge she called the restaurant and was able to make a reservation for 19. When we arrived at El Gaucho we were escorted to a private dinning room... More

I just went to El Gaucho with my friend for late dinner last night, since my flight landed late. We booked the table at 9.45pm, however we got there 10 min earlier.. The staff insisted us to wait for our time.. Wow.. The restaurant has been long time famous for steak, nevertheless I preferred fish, prawns and truffle soup which... More

We stopped in on a whim while walking down first ave during our last few hours in Seattle. Impressed when we walked in. More impressed with the service. Even more impressed with the wine and food! Very clean, very nice, very inviting! Not a place for kids! This is an adult dining experience. It is costly but worth every penny.... More
