We were in a private room for the wedding and dinner. The service was wonderful-we had around 40 people. Had the filet with lobster and crab and it was delicious. The ceasar salad was marginal.

Really enjoyed the Happy Hour at the iconic bar. Great house wines and mixed drinks. Lots of great choices for Happy Hour like wicked shrimp, steak, mushroom truffle soup and salads. Service was top notch and bar filled up by 6pm so get there early. We went on a Friday. Live piano music in the bar later in the evening.... More

First time I've ever been, and can't see a reason to return. Nothing horrible, just nothing super memorable either. Service was nice, but the overall food/value proposition was so so at best. We were there during restaurant week but ordered from the regular menu - the steak trio, 2 appetizers, a side, a drink and glass of wine each. Over... More

We went here for our last night in town. No reservations but was given the choice of bar seating or private room seating. I did not expect the high end prices but I guess when the server is ready to escort you to the restroom on his arm that is expected. The filet came with a small (3-4 stalks) hand... More

A Seattle landmark with absolutely the best steak I have ever had. (aged for 28 days)A noisy atmosphere which became subdued by the remarkable talented jazz singer's voice. We tried out the El Gaucho at the affordable restaurant prices for Seattle Restaurant week. Sitting in the piano room we had the attention of Rob the bartender extraordinaire, along with his... My friends took me for dinner as a belated birthday celebration and to take advantage of Seattle Restaurant Week's $30 3-course special. The atmosphere is very cosmopolitan - busy, noisy & dark - but despite being packed we felt a decent separation from the tables next to us. If you can, ask for a booth around the perimeter. Our cocktails... More

My wife and I were treated to dinner at El Gaucho last night by our daughter. From the moment we arrived we felt very special being warmly greeted and seated at our table. Attentive waiter answered all our questions and the subsequent meal was superb! My daughter and I had the fillet steak whilst my wife had chicken all with... More

We immediately liked the decor and ambiance of this place. You feel special as soon as you walk in. The music; however played little too loud and in an attempt to have conversation, people tried to speak louder that the music and after a while we felt like we were trapped in a beehive. We were looking for great meals... More

After 17 years of special celebrations, client dinners and those magical years of the cigar box and bar, El Gaucho may have bottomed out. Starting with the Denny's level "hostess" it went odd after that. Instead of the professional approach from year's past, the waiter was extremely casual and a bit dismissive. Since I've dined here for years we knew... More
