I always enjoy the experience dining at. El Gaucho. It reminds me of what one would imagine a 1960's supper club. The food is always excellent and this is one of the few restaurants west of New Orleans that serves a killer Bananas Foster.

the food and service was great. $68/ for a steak with nothing else is a bit much but that is just me. $8 for a side baked potato is maybe a bit much too but the waiter did mash it for me tableside:) The atmosphere is perfect, the margarita I ordered was not very good. They give you a complimentary... More

We were pleasantly surprised with the uniqueness of the restaurant decor, as well as the food. A great "date night" with live piano player added to the evening… Then, a complimentary dessert of fresh fruit, cheese, and nuts was brought to the table! Such a nice touch!

Joined a couple of old friends for dinner and since they picked me up at the Convention Center, the valet parking was convenient. Having reserved we were quickly escorted to our booth on the Mezzanine level, which gave a great view of the kitchen which is open, the tables on the main floor, and some of the lively bar scene.... My fiancee and I went to El Gaucho on the recommendation of a local and we weren't disappointed. We had made reservations, but when we arrived, the look and feel of the place reminded us of an old-time bar or speakeasy. We skipped our table and instead found a spot at the bar - there was great live piano music... More

I read reviews about how great the tableside Caesar and Bananas Foster were, so I thought...why not. The interior décor is not my aesthetic...huge wide open split level, very dark inside, but not well appointed dark with nice wood etc., this is more like a night club look with big vinyl booths along the walls. I did however enjoy they... More

We went to El Gaucho to celebrate a birthday and, from start to finish, it was an amazing evening of food, wine, and atmosphere. From the moment we walked through the front door, we knew we had come to the right place. The ambiance was great, from the soft lighting to the piano playing, and we settled into our booth... More

The atmosphere here is romantic. Customer service is superb. The food is beyond delicious. Live music. There isn't much to add other than they are the #1 restaurant in Seattle that I would recommend. It's pricey but well worth it.

From the valet parking, to the coat check "girl" (the right word for this "supper club" venue), to the hostess, to the waiters in evening wear, to the dark room with subdued lighting, to the hustle of all the wait staff on the floor, to the spectacular goings on in the open kitchen and at the tables, to the piano...
