Steak at it's best

Steak in Seattle? El Gaucho for sure. Good service, great quality meat. The portions are huge! so might not need starters, nor desserts although they are also delicious!

We selected El Gaucho for a family celebration. Price for value did not warrant the selection. The food was NOT poorly prepared, but it was not exceptional given the cost. The decor is like a supper club but lacking a crowd. The waiter was exceptional, friendly, good natured, accommodating and efficient, but the faire was pedestrian and lacked imagination. Perhaps... The Inn at El Gaucho is so close to downtown, Pikes Market, Art Museum, Key Arena and the Space Needle. We enjoyed the wine tasting every night we will be staying here again next year for the PAC 12 basketball tournament.

The food was great. The service was top notch. Cool little flash lights are passed out to read the menu because it is dark in the restaurant. The piano player was great!!

Our friends were in town from Maine with their daughter who applied to UW. They took us here and I was blown away by the quality of the food, which was only surpassed by the service. We used the valet parking...a real plus in downtown these days. As others have said, it is dark when you enter, especially if the... More

Went for a friends 60th birthday party. The main room is interesting, like being in a time warp. Wasn't sure what to make of it at first, but once we sat down and started eating it was amazing. The cocktails were great, the table side Caesar was outstanding and fun to watch, the steaks were fantastic, and the bananas foster... More

Service was amazing, food was fantastic, and the ambiance is great. We celebrated our anniversary and the staff had rose petals and a card waiting for us upon our arrival.

We were in town on business, our client brought us here. Very cool place - has the feel of a 20's Jazz club or something. I had the DIVER SEA SCALLOPS & GRILLED PRAWN LINGUINE. This was the best dish I have ever had. It was so good, I was raving about it. Scallops & Prawns done perfectly. My coworker... More

This is certainly one of the top restaurants I've ever been to. The truffle soup was so amazing. Our waitress told us if she could, she would lick the bowl. My wife and I were close to doing the same. The steak was amazing and the asparagus was cooked perfectly. I had the cheesecake for dessert, which was mediocre. Specifically... More
