We found the atmosphere great. The restaurant overlooks Puget Sound and offers excellent seafood. It was the highlight of a busy day at Pike Place

On our visit to Pike Place Market, my daughter and I had lunch at Athenian. Although delicious...... with tip it was $74.76. I had a reuben with turkey instead of corned beef, and an orange soda; my daughter had sea scallops with an iced tea. Dessert of Creme Brulee and NY cheesecake. It has a nice view of the Puget... After seeing all the great food at the market we decided to stop in for some lunch. After looking over the very unimpressive menu we decided to stick with the basics. Some Penn Cove Mussels and some raw oysters. After all they must be good right? Some of the most pristine seafood I have ever seen was located right outside... More

Pike place is obviously full of amazing culinary options. This place is great to take a load off and sit down for a fantastic meal with an even better view. I had the smoked salmon frittata with potatoes , it was fantastic. Order a great breakfast and sit back and relax with a view of the harbor

My husband and I ate a late breakfast here recently. We compared their prices with the prices next door at Lowell's and found Athenian much more reasonable and you get the exact same views of the harbor. I had a fritata with oysters and bacon which was perfect, not too salty. My husband had a classic eggs benny which was... More

Even if you've never seen the Sleepless in Seattle scene at the Athenian, you'll want to visit this restaurant as it's location is so...Seattle! It overlooks the archetypal Seattle view and most tables get a glimpse of it. This was our second visit here, our first breakfast/lunch. I enjoyed the seafood chowder & Athenian Salad, both worth trying again. My... More

I have been to Pike Place 4 times. This place is always packed, so we over look it. This time, we were here very early on a week day. Walked right in and was able to pick a seat. Chose one looking out over the water. Service was top notch. Everything we had tasted fresh and good-blueberry pancakes, potatoes, salmon... More

Hangtown Frittata = dry / over cooked . Was at location mid breakfast time & there was no wait. slow wait staff. This is a grand tourist spot / view / location -- and gee= Tom Hanks ate here. I would not thinnk that this is a place locals would come to & I've been there= done that. I would... More

We wanted to take a little break from the Pikes Market crowds and stopped here for lunch. The views were great, and it was very relaxing. Service and food were very average. The food came out quick, but the servers didn't seem that stoked to be there. I had the shrimp, and my husband had fish and chips. While it... More

We had a great time here! Our visit was timed perfectly to watch an amazing sunset over the Sound which is the best feature of this restaurant. The food was cheap, fish and chips for $4, but typical bar happy hour food. Decent service and an over all nice afternoon.
