Even I check restaurant reviews before I travel and pick some, most of time I end up at the closest restaurant. Athenian Inn was one of them and I have enjoyed happy hour selection of food and beer. Service was good, waitress was friendly and view was spectacular.

While walking the Pike Place Market early one morning we came upon this vintage restaurant. Inspired: the view Food: just ok Service: just ok Atmosphere: a tradition since 1909 Return: for drinks not food Discovered: asking shop owners in the market

Got a seat by the windows. Fish and chips excellent batter! The stew my son got was very flavorful with tender calamari. Friends fish tacos nice. Food is Goidelic. Prices am bit over quality especially for beers. It's a diner folks. Love that though and totally recommend!

On a very cold and rainy day, we made our way through the crowds at Pike Place and stumbled upon this cozy, casual spot. After 2 drinks at the bar, we got a cozy table upstairs in a corner overlooking the water. I had the fish tacos, my boyfriend had calamari, others had the seafood bowl. Everyone was pleased with... We ordered clam chowder and seafood combo. They are very average indeed. The salmon in my seafood combo was overcooked by a mile. It was deep fried but still very dried. The waitress has no smile and not attentive at all. It was passed the busy lunch hours when we were there, so no excuse really.

Great location in Pike place. Service good. View is lovely. We were there for breakfast. Good coffee. The Penn cove frittatta was very tasty but a little overdone. The Hang town frittata would be better with more oysters and less bacon. Again, overcooked. Hashbrowns ok.

Happy Hours daily with killer views of the Sunset at the bar. GREAT BITES! Try the Spiced Prawns & thank me later. Local craft beers. Meet the locals - it's where they go! Loved it so much, we went back twice. INSIDE Pikes Place Market.

Though the place does get very busy, I visited this place a few times for dinner while I was in Seattle and I enjoyed the meals very much. Service was very good as well.

After moving here 6 months ago- we waited for the crowds to die down at the market. We visited Athenian Inn this past weekend and were terribly disappointed. The unfortunate part is the food was actually above average. Our waitress Stephanie gave a dirty look to our party the moment we walked in. Her attitude continued to be rude, rude... More

Small place in the Marketplace with decent, not spectacular food. I had the "famous fishwhich" and was left trying to enjoy the fish after removing some of the mounds of cole slaw healped on top. Good news is I got a free salad and a fish sandwhich. The service at the bar was fine, not friendly however.
