I signed up for the Benihana's mailing list last year which promised you a free birthday dinner during the month of your birthday. They'd been sending me emails with all of their promotions and specials for a year, sometimes several times a week. After a year of the junk emails, they stopped a couple of weeks before my birthday. I... More

I was in Seattle attending a Microsoft Conference and have been in Seattle many, many times. I love Seattle. This was my first visit to Benihana and what an experience. The Norwegian team was out for dinner and had a really good time at Benihana. We had sushi for starter and a mix of steaks and lobster for main course.... More

Four of us went to Benihana for September birthday dinners (three of us had birthdays in September!). It was a fun experience and night out in Seattle. The restaurant was clean and the atmosphere was fabulous. I had a birthday email certificate worth $30 to use for dinner and they didn't question the certificate and took the price of our... More

The Benihana chain took the world by storm when it was founded in the 1960s. Diners were wowed by the knife and chopping techniques of the chefs, and that you ate at a communal table around a large griddle where your meal was prepared before you. Two of us had a lunch at the Seattle Benihana, located in a sunken... More

The chef does put on a show, and the food was dynamite! Miguel kept us entertained the whole time and the wait staff was cordial and efficient. I don't think I left anything on my plate, it was that good.

First time going to a Benihana and I would for sure go back. Took my two sons 8 & 11 and we had a fabulous time. The chefs are fun and amazingly talented. Food was so fresh and perfectly cooked. Wish we had a location closer.

Hi went for a meal with a work colleague and have been before. really impressed with the theatre of the food being cooked before you. However I would advise to make use of the happy hour to get cheap drinks before moving into the restaurant. I had lobster, large shrink and scallops which were all well cooked. However I would... I've never returned here after couple visits since dinner time is over priced, food and service is average, but recently discovered that they offer all you can eat lunch sushi. Quality is average, but choice and price is good. A good choice for sushi lunch in downtown.

The positives are that the chefs who prepare the food on the grill are entertaining. There are some neat pictures of celebrity's who have visited the restaurant. The drinks seemed to be ok. We sat in the bar waiting for a table and the bartender was great. The not so positives: 1. Food is overpriced. We paid over $100 for... More
