Great food!

It is a very nice place for Japanese food. While waiting for a table, we had a great talk with the sushi-men and he made us very good sushi. His name was Scott. The food was great and also the service. The place also receives stars sports athletes, specially from American football.

Rude staff....and if u want to order "take-out" its not allowed! But they are willing to allow u to sit at a table and order a meal, then get it in a box to go.....per the hostess! Yeah....no thanks!

My wife and I have eaten at Japanese Teppanyaki (prepared on griddle in front of you) before. This is not my favorite way of eating Japanese food. Yet our twin grandchildren wanted to go there for their eighth birthday, thus here we are. The service as excellent. They were even able to prepare one of my favorite drinks; a mudslide.... More

As on previous visits, we were here with our grandchildren who always look forward to eating here. The food is predictably good though not great and it is expensive. To me, the cost is worthwhile if the entertainment is good. That was the case this time. Our chef, Sergio, was the most personable and entertaining chef that has served us... More

I went to Benihana when I was living in Seattle. The menu has a lot of food on the list. We liked teppanyaki and our chef had lots of tricks that he showed us, such as he split the onion so that you had the big circle, and smaller circles in it. Then, he made it so that it looked... More

I've been going to Benihana's for years now but it had been a couple of years before this time. This location is a bit crammed for waiting for your party, as they still follow the rule of not sitting until everyone is there. Food was ok, but the fried rice was lackluster from what it used to be. It's a... More

That's what the waiter did. Flipped a shrimp and caught it in his pocket. Yes, it's been around a long time but it's still fun to see the waiter's chopping veggies, cracking eggs, and cracking jokes. The food's not bad. It's a bit over priced but not terrible for downtown Seattle. I first went there about 30 years ago and... More

Went wandering around my hotel for food and found this japanese restaurant. The teppanaki side was full with a long wait so I opted to sit at the sushi bar in the lounge as I was going to get sushi anyways. The service was fast, courteous and friendly. The sashimi sampler is a great deal - it came with 10-12... More

We have been going to Benihana for over twenty years. We have never had a bad dining experience. The menu remains the same so if you want variety at the same restaurant it will not happen here. They have a tried and true menu and presentation. It is busy and noisy, but many places are. There is entertainment from the... More

We used to think this restaurant had great food. It's not so great anymore. The food is overcooked with too much oil and soy sauce. But I think you dine here more for the show that the teppan-yaki chefs put on than for the food. It is entertaining. This is a good restaurant for families. Kids are kept entertained by... More
