Great Service

It has been a number of years since I have been to McCormick's. To be diplomatic, what use to be a funky place is now old and dreary. However, the food was great as well as the service. We went to lunch but I doubt - given the condition of the place - I would return for dinner.

The clam chowder was excellent. That was all we ordered, since we weren't real hungry, but it was worth the walk over. Delicious!

We used to come here frequently after work, always at happy hour for their huge cheeseburgers and mussels in wine sauce. It's to be expected their burgers have shrunk, but their hours have shrunk as well, and their mussels are not the same, either. No one in the place, sad and quiet. We'll be finding a new place after all... More

We stopped in for dinner on a Saturday night. Empty. Saw 4 other people in the place with us. We ordered the Chicken Parmesan with Linguine Alfredo and the Mahi. Neither were good. No flavor at all. Both dishes had a burnt grease taste to them. Had to ask for some bread(which they should normally bring out anyway) just to... More

Stop in Saturday evening and decided to give this place a try since I had great experience with the location in Washington D.C. Definitely a night and day difference between the two. Service was very poor, since it appeared we were more of an inconvenience than anything else. I had to ask if there was any bread, and it was... More

First I have to say the food was wonderful. A and for that reason I would return. But was there for dinner around 6pm on a Tuesday and fortunately it wasn't busy and we thought we would get great service...not so..... Took over an hour to get drinks and another 30 min for our order. One of my guest had... More

Ate here for dinner while visiting Seattle after an absence of 10 years. McCormick's was always superb food previously, while McCormick & Schmick's had the more average food. It seems now that McCormick's also has reverted to more average food - still tasty and amazing service - but not the high qualify food as before. So was a bit disappointed... More

This is a return visit for me. I had a cup of Crab and Clam Chower to start. I had the Cedar Atlantic Salmon with grilled vegetables and a glass of Golden Hook Northwest Beer. The food and service was excellent and my server was very helpful in suggesting local Northwest Beers and seafood. This restaurant is very near the... More

I stopped in for lunch - the place was half-empty, the servers were very nice, obliging folks, but it didn't compensate for a very average quality of food. French onion soup was too salty and watery, grilled chicken in my Caesar entree was too dry.

this is one of our "fallback" restaurants for those evenings when we can't think of any other place that sounds better. It's dependably good.
