Very quaint atmosphere. Super delicious food! Had a wonderful dinner. You can order your choice of 3 different pastas so you get quite a selection. Everyone at our table had a fabulous dinner. Superb wine. Great wait staff. Highly recommend.

My wife and I had just arrived in Seattle after a cruise. The hotel we were staying at recommended the restaurant next door and we were cynical initially. However, as we walked by and saw some of the dishes on people's tables outside, we realized that everything looked very tasty. We were unsure what to order, and the waiter was... More

Having eaten seafood for several days on an extended stay in Seattle, we decided to go Italian. We went to Assaggio with friends and thought we were back in Italy. My wife and I had cinghiale, probably some of the best pasta we have ever eaten. Our friends loved their dishes as well. We tried the limoncello tartufu, the best.... More

I walked here from my hotel a block down. Chose it because it had outside seating. Everyone is greeted warmly, and the staff are attentive. We ended up eating here 3 times in the 2 days here. One night we ended up sitting next to the owners of a vineyard in Italy who were sampling their wines with the owner.... More

We found the restaurant on Open Table and are glad we sent. They had about 18 choices of pasta ($16 range). I got the selection of 3 ($22) and chose: BURRO E SALVIA ricotta gnocchi, brown butter, sage; ZAFFERANO fusilli, italian sausage, currants, pine nuts, arugula, saffron cream; and CARBONARA spaghetti, pancetta, egg, pecorino romano. I liked the Zafferano the... More

Very mediocre vodka pasta followed by dry roast chicken. I would not recommend Assaggio to anyone. Especially disappointing given all the positive reviews. Olive Garden is better :(

Sat outside on the small patio one evening after a long day visiting around town. Couldn't decide on which pasta to try so got the plate that included your choice of 3 different pasta dishes. All were excellent but the wild boar ragu was one of the best pasta dishes I have ever had and I consider myself a connoisseur... More

Food was OK, nice location but strange service, we couldn't work out if our waiter had a really dry sense of humor, or just plain rude:€ We could fly with it as we're European too, but I think he would offend most.

After a long day of sightseeing, we were really hungry. As we passed by Assaggio, the place looked very inviting, and as all of us like Italian cuisine, we decided to try dinner here. After a friendly greeting, we were quickly seated at a table with classy looking linens. I enjoyed the lasagna. At first, I thought the portion was... More

I could not wait to try this restaurant since it was recommended by several friends. Unluckily for me it was a terrible experience that kept me up all the night with a terrible pain in my stomach. I enjoyed Olive ascolane and then Ravioli and wanted to end the dinner with a dessert. Tiramisú had a strange taste but I... More
