This was a great place and only a couple of blocks from our hotel The Mayflower Park. It was mostly Italian food and I had the daily special which was a shrimp and pasta. Delicious as was the wine. Will definitely eat there again on my next trip to Seattle.

We have been on the hunt for the "best" Linguine ala vongole in Seattle. We have had a few contenders but Assaggio is the best I have had. Perfectly cooked pasta not at all oily perfect amount of heat tender clams it was awesome. My husband compares every meatball to his Italian grandmothers and the ones at Assaggio we pretty... More

The food is decent. The location is excellent. The waitstaff were pleasant and in typical Italian fashion, didn't rush our order - though I'm pretty sure the server was Russian. However, the fruit flies were horrible - literally swarming our food and drink. While the folks were apologetic and made some fruit fly traps for us that did not seem... More

Started dinner with a nice glass of Soave Italian white wine. The homemade lasagna was very well done and delicious. And the melanzane, eggplant with parmiggiano cheese, was outstanding. As an appetizer we ordered gnocchi gorgonzola, but these were not the best gnocchi's I have ever eaten. Even so, it was a terrific early dinner.

Nothing like a big hug and warm greeting from the owner to start off a meal. Next to Hotel Andra so good alternative to Lola's. Veal Stagioni was superb.

We had an amazing meal here. Authentic Italian dishes and the most comprehensive Italian wine list I have seen since my visit to Italy. The waitstaff was attentive and made delicious suggestions. A truly lovely meal.

On a trip from the UK, we were staying at The Warwick and the concierge recommended several restaurants in the vicinity. All were great except for this one. We had a table for two in the window, thankfully, because I have never been in a louder restaurant..... People were not chatting to each other quietly but talking and laughing at... More

We were taken by business friends who were regulars and received a very warm reception including hugs which made us feel very welcome. The food did not disappoint and the whole experience was very memorable. Very tasty, very good. ( this review has been copied from my incorrect duplicate profile)

I was pleased to return to Assaggio after a 2 year absence, and find the place as wonderful as I remembered. The place is a great upscale Italian eatery with the unrushed ambiance of the old Country. The food is wonderfully prepared and a delight. The flavors, spices, and aromas are old world, and great. Owner Mauro warmly greets every... More
