We went to this restaurant based on a recommendation from our hotel. When we arrived, a visually impaired woman, with her seeing-eye dog, was in front of us. The host was refusing to seat her and her dog in the restaurant. He then proceeded to ignore her, and try to seat us. We told him that we refused to eat... More

Traveling with a 12 year old might be a problem unless she likes Italian / pasta. We went here the first night because we were tired and hungry (long travel time and long walks). So, it was next to our hotel and we figured we try it - after all, we could always get pasta! She raved about the lasagna.... More

Upon entering, you are hugged and kissed (ladies only) by Mauro himself as only he can welcome you and send you back to every warm memory of Italy that you keep close to your heart. The ambiance is spelled M-A-U-R-O, the food is delicious and the evening is perfect. Ciao!

Went here as it was near our hotel and apparently well rated. Had checked out the website and read about the enthusiasm of the owner etc. I had a tasty and fresh caprese salad and my friend had the beet salad and greens which was good. The vongole was salty but the fresh pasta seafood dish was good. Although fairly... More

White linen table cloths, brightly polished silver ware, and personal attention throughout the meal. Had the pork chop over resoto. Absolutely wonderful. If I didn't know I had ordered pork, I would have thought it was tender beef. A definitive food experience.

I would recommend this restaurant. All the staff were very efficient and respectful. They do greet you warmly. We had the appis of calamari and brushetta. Both were good with well balanced flavours. They were not big though. We also followed with the salad mista which was simple and dressed well. For our mains we had the bolognese and the... More

I read mixed reviews about this restaurant, but figured I would try them out since it was next door to the hotel I was staying at. When the front desk said the place is “eh”, that should’ve been my first clue. The restaurant itself is very nice. It has a great atmosphere. The service was also very good. We were... More

Yeah, this place is great. We were staying at the Warwick and since the kids were tired and we had spent enough money on them, we decided to get them Subway and plop them in the room whilst the wife and I headed out for a late-Valentines dinner. Ok, last minute meant we were lucky to get a table. The... More

My go-to restaurant in Seattle, whether for myself or recommending for others. Always a great meal from the large menu or daily special. Wait staff always friendly and efficient and make an effort to remember you with a greeting on every visit. Happy hour at the bar has good options at great prices. Mauro the owner is the heart and... We've enjoyed many dinners at Assaggio, always warmly greeted by Mauro, the restaurant owner. The food was as excellent as always, with some exciting new specials that we all enjoyed. This restaurant has never disappointed us, and we highly recommend it!
