Lovey Italian, and fast for food cooked with such care

I walked by this place near my hotel and it looked promising. And the meal was lovely. I got an outside table. Service was remarkably prompt. The Caesar salad was fresh as can be, wih a delicious dressing on the side. I used bread to get the last of it. And I ordered one of the specials, a... read more

I spend a couple of weeks in Italy every year, and while this looks like it might be serving authentic Italian, perhaps unsurprisingly it serves a sort of remixed Italian with some particular American tastes. That said the food was fine and the service was good, but I was under-whelmed overall. I had a chinghale pasta/penne which was OK, but... More

Terrific food and good service. I especially liked the pasta sampler with choice of 3 pastas in 3 sauces. The papardelle in cinghiale sauce was to die for! Nice wine list with both local and Italian wines.

This place may look a little old fashioned Italian but don't let that put you off. The food is absolutely delicious & staff a delight! We had the arancini to start followed by pizza and the pasta tasting plate-lasagna, spaghetti and scallop ravioli. If you're looking for an authentic Italian restaurant in Seattle, check this place out!

Assaggio looks from the outside like a trattoria (which I like) while the decor inside is more polished and upscale but still very comfortable. I had the salmon which was delicious but it was my husband who claimed his dinner was one of the best he has ever had, the minestrone and the lasagna; both perfect. The owner walks around... More

Stayed at Mayflower Park two days after Alaskan Cruise, which we found on Trip Adviser , another story good hotel. Needed fun memorable restaurant for last night Seattle. Didn't want to take cab and staff Mayflower recommended Lola's or Assaggio . Easy one block flat walk on 4 th street. Made reservation 6:30pm . On arrival , the greater cheerfully... More

Ended up coming here twice during my business trip. The bartender recommended some great wine and they had Cinghiale on the menu, which you can't usually find.

The wait staff and the food were excellent. The menu has a great deal of variety and my husband and I were very happy with the quality of the food. Delicious iced tea is available as well. One thing to note: there is not a lot of extra space between diners, but the food makes up for that condition.

Recently visited Seattle and found this restaurant next door to our hotel. Lively spot. Good bar, nice wine list and extensive menu. The manager and staff were attentive and made some wonderful suggestions. Our food selections (salmon and veal entrees) were well prepared and tasty. We would certainly return.
