I had the veal piccata and my wife had a pasta special. Both were delicious. We ate there on a Wednesday and night and it was full primarily with locals who appeared to be at home. Always a good sign. A friend had recommended Machiavelli's and we recommend it as well.

Four of us dined here last night and loved it. Casual, affordable, clean, with great service and excellent food. This place was packed and there is no question why. Not one piece was missing from this dinner. Well done!

One of the most suffering things for an Italian is to see how our conception of food is abused abroad. Everytime you serve a pale imitation of our culture, an Italian dies!

Found this gem of a restaurant just a couple of blocks from the convention center. When I asked the hotel front desk person if it was good, they raved about it. The restaurant is small and has a warm atmosphere. They do not take reservations or call ahead. They do it the old fashioned way - You have to show... More

Very typically Roman Italian food. Really good pastas and outstanding Veal or chicken Milanese. Noisy bistro-style surroundings and good bar (though tiny). If you want really good trattoria food, this is the spot! But come prepared to have a cocktail (or two) and wait. No reservations and all of Seattle knows how great this spot is!

Recommended by a local, this place was open on a Monday which was perfect. Didn't have to wait too long having no reservation. Excellent menu choices; food was served quickly and hot. The dining room is very small and noisy and the entrance is narrow; the bar is the waiting area, but with no seats available we were constantly in... More

They have a different take on Italian food and it works. I had the eggplant (not fried). The service was great and the food tasted really fresh.

We ate at this restaurant over Easter wkd while on a visit to seattle. We heard good things about it so decided to give it a try. Was very busy when we arrived at about 6pm. We were told 20-30 mins wait but actually got a table in about 15 mins. They really move people along. Not a place to... More

We are touring in Seattle. Went Monday night for dinner. Food was good, fast, and the place was full for a Monday. My husband and I enjoyed it.

We've been waiting a year to come back and eat here. We live out of state and this was the one outing that we have been waiting for. The food is absolutely AMAZING here. The bread they serve is very tasty, but the entrees are fantastic. Try the gnocchi with the marinara cream sauce. Like you've died and went to... More
