Oh my! Fabulous mussels

We had lunch at Maximilien's today and really enjoyed it. I ordered mussels cooked in cream and carmelized onions. The mussels were large and tasty--local mussels rather than the standard frozen PEI variety. The broth was so tasty I ate quite a bit of it. The French bread was crusty and the... read more

Everything was really well done. It was romantic, cool for singles, and picturesque. The food was really good; I had the mussels awesome, then the smoked salmon stuffed sole(destroyed) it was the best salmon I have ever had. Lastly I got the warm chocolate lava cake it took about 2 minutes for it to be completely gone it was that... More

Tucked away on the street level we stumbled upon Maximilien only by virtue of signs. Despite dingy entrance area it offers fantastic views especially from its sun terrace. We have main course and drinks for $60 less tip so reasonable value given the location. Food was good. Service by Rene (probably not his real name) was prompt and efficient. Recommend... More

Been to Pike's market several times but had no idea that this place tucked away behind the famous fish throwers existed. This is a full French menu with a host of great seafood offerings. The wait staff is perfect and the view of the water is outstanding. My onion soup was delish and the fresh halibut even better. Wine list... More

Were here two years ago and enjoyed as much today. Mushroom cream soup very unexpected-more like puréed mushrooms than cream and so good...even young boys tried and loved. Boys agreed this was the best $100 spent on a delicious upscale late lunch.

I have been to Easter brunch for the last several years. Our service has always been very good, the food very good and the view is outstanding. I know there are several reviews where people had problems but that has never happened to me. I enjoy going here for regular lunches as well.

Maximilien is tucked away in Pike Market--a little bit of France in Seattle--with a lovely view of Puget Sound. The wait staff is French, the menu is French and the food is wonderful. I had moules et frites-- which were wonderful. My husband had salmon--which was also wonderful. We sat overlooking Puget sound enjoying our gourmet lunch--and as we left... More

We did not expect to find a French restaurant at Pike Market. We were even more surprised to find such a good French restaurant. We were a party of six. We all loved our lunch choices. Maximilien's is worth a visit for the food as well as the view.
