Great find with a great view

We went there both for lunch and dinner. I love their mussels for lunch. I enjoyed cassoulet for dinner the other night and it was a big dish. My son loved duck leg confit and my husband enjoyed beef tenderloin. All the dishes were wonderful and red house wine was fantastic. We brought our French friend to here some time... More

Maximilian has the best steamed mussels, and some of the finest French cuisine in Seattle. Great service, delicious food and breathtaking views from indoor or outside terrace make this restaurant a must destination for Seattle visitors.

Maximillian is a great, non-touristy experience in Pike Place Market. It isn’t easy to find as there isn’t abundant signage, but this only adds to the charm. You step into a French brasserie type restaurant with an incredible view of the water, ferries, and the “Seattle Wheel”. It’s a thoroughly enjoyable meal enjoyed at a leisurely pace. If you can... Ventured in on somewhat of a boys' trip to Seattle from Vancouver and I was curious to know whether the excellent lunch I recalled from a few years ago carried through over the years and into dinner. It did! You would expect a restaurant with a name like this and a classic French menu in Seattle (a wonderful city, but... More

When you are at Pike Place Market and need that view and drink, Maximilien's is the place; a perfect view of the bay and the Ferries, drinks that are real and food that is delish. Their Happy Hour is the best deal in the city. Start with a French 75 and work towards their house wines by the bottle. The... More

To start, we sat at the bar for a couple of coctails while amiable bartender David worked his magic. His methods and presentation are amazing. No spoiler alerts, just go, watch and enjoy! Dinner and service was excellent, and the view over Elliott Bay makes it a special evening. My onion soup starter was relatively average, but more than made... More

I ate at Maximilien in October and can say that the view, escargot and wine were really good. Today, Sat. Dec 13, 2014, I went back with my boyfriend for a late lunch. It was 3:40pm. And, we were told the only seats available were on the 2nd floor. We went up, found only 2 tables occupied and about 6... More

We stopped in between lunch and dinner, so it was limited to a bistro menu. No worries. We enjoyed our soup and coffee and the view.

A beautiful view, delicious food, great prices. We had the stacked beet salad and the stuffed peppers and my husband said that he has rarely had better food that didn't have meat in it! Highly recommend. Also the $3 bottles of French beer were great.
