old time french

This place has been in Pike's Market a long time. They serve classic French food in a classic style. The portions are large compared to todays more modern small plate kind of place. The setting is nice and the service is good.

Our lunch at Maximilien was excellent! We were seated on the beautiful patio which afforded nice views of the water. It was a nice respite from the Pike Place Market crowds. The house white wine is excellent . I ordered the Halibut, Petit Pois à la Française and it was sooo good. It's pan seared Alaskan halibut, pearl onions, bacon,... More

Maxilmillien is a hidden treasure inside the Pike's Market. It has spectacular view of the bay and the staff and waiters are so professional. Went there twice with hubby for his business trip. Overall, quality vs price of the food, it's a "MUST GO" French restaurant if you are around that area. Make sure you make a reservation to reserve... More

Maxilmillien is an intimate little restaurant hidden inside the market. I came for lunch, the food was fantastic and the view was amazing. You look right out to the water and great wheel.

Maximilien's is a relatively upscale restaurant but it has a great view of the bay and has very accommodating staff and waiters. The food is French, so you might want to look at the menu first to makes sure you like that type of food. Overall, the price was commensurate to the quality of the food, quantity of the food,... Yes, this is authentic French food. I wish this restaurant was down the street where I live, as I would be back repeatedly to work my way around the menu. We enjoyed a delightful lunch, sharing wine with friends as well as lots of oooohs and aaaahs about the food. The wild salmon with the cauliflower gratin and baby greens... More

Salad for wife with salmons- salmon was very tasty, two Jack and cokes, a beer and a lemonade, along with bread- $71.00, yes 71.00. Not much for kids at all. Service good... More

Tucked away from the flow of people around the Public Market this restaurant was a great find. The servers were friendly and the food was really good and the view of the waterfront was what we were looking for.

great food at a reasonable price for the quality, service, and view. Had a outdoor deck table on a clear sunny day which made everything even better.

I have been to this restaurant several times over about two decades and it is ALWAYS outstanding. It's located at the Pike Street Market, but set off in a beautiful setting overlooking the Sound. So, not only is the view incredible, but so is the food. I HIGHLY recommend the mussels, and if you can sit outside on the patio... More
