Ponti better than ever happy hour

Ponti's has always been pretty consistent with a little lapse in quality a few years back, but recently has been excellent again. We are especially enjoying their happy hour and their "Plenty for $20" menu -- two course meals for $20 and they don't scrimp on portions. Yesterday we sat outside - a... read more

Above the water- beautiful at night- had a phenomenal kale salad and mussels in a coconut broth- delicious. Followed it up with their chocolate caramel lava cake and Port- one to try!

Ponti's is a delightful restaurant tucked away on an odd street across the canal from Fremont district. I think of it as our "elegant neighborhood restaurant". It's been in business many years and I've always been surprised by it's longevity. But I think what's kept it going is it it's fabulous deck overlooking the ship canal. We actually prefer to... We took a very good friend who has lived in the general area for many years and knew nothing about Ponti's last night for birthday dinner. Simply outstanding food - birthday girl had the smoked black cod, wife had the seafood stew and, after tasting the others, I mis-ordered with beef (which was well-prepared with the best scalped potatoes ever).... IF you are looking for a trendy, happening spot...this probably isn't it...however, if you are looking for very good food, in a clean, yet slightly dated restaurant, with friendly prompt service....you could do much worse.. collectively, we had salads, appetizers, pasta, seafood, steaks and dessert....and there were no disappointments....

Ponti Seafood Grill is a local gem. I have never had a bad meal there. Unlike many new restaurant these days, Ponti has a quiet, comfortable atmosphere. The vibe is casual yet elegant. It is a great place to take a first date or your grandmother for her birthday. The menu has something for everyone. In addition, the appetizer menu... More

As much as I love a new restaurant I really love having a favorite place where we can go and be warmly welcomed by the staff; Ponti is that place for my husband and me. Its our place to go when neither of us wants to cook. The food is excellent with a interesting menu that manages to retain our... More

I love going to Ponti especially in the evenings/at night. The view of the ship canal, the lights reflecting on the water looks very gorgeous and romantic at night. The food is also very tasty and the ambiance wonderful. I love going there for well prepared, authentic seafood. It is a little pricey but definitely worth it. I would definitely... More

A very nice seafood place on the ship canal in Fremont. Pro tip - they have valet parking since parking in the area can be challenging. The vibe is cool and the views are pretty good. The staff is professional and service-oriented. The food is traditional NW seafood fare, well prepared and delicious. A great place to enjoy fresh seafood.

You will not forget your visit to this special restaurant serving only wild fish and seafoods. Outside patio seating enhances the unique entrees with views of the ship canal and Fremont bridge. I enjoyed broiled Octopus which was flavorful and finished to perfection. My family all tried something different and everyone raved about their meal. We finished with a "trio... More
