Three of us visited for the first time. I had read the reviews, so made a reservation and was glad I did. We shared three appetizers: the fried risotto cheese ball (was very big, and hard to share), the goat sausage pasta (oh wow, that was just great! Very robust favors) and the lobster mushrooms (mixed review on that one,... More

The food was fairly good but on the pricy side. After a couple days of 90+ degree days, it was nice to be in the low 80's but this place trapped the heat! We sucked down water and still kept on sweating - it made dinner uncomfortable and made us cut our conversation short. The waitress we had was very... More

La Medusa is located in a section of South Seattle, Columbia City. I have dined there on a couple of occasions and have found the food to be excellent. It is an Italian restaurant but the creativity of the chef makes this unlike most Italian establishments. I dined there about 3 weeks ago with my wife and son, who lives... More

The food is good but my overall comment would be overpriced. I was in the mood for seafood but the only option was a seafood soup for $27, sorry that's just too much. If I'm spending $27 for a bowl of soup it better have a shark fin in it :-). The diners at the next table had it and... More

Wonderful Italian restaurant in Columbia City. Be sure to make a reservation several days in advance, you'll never get a table otherwise. Changing seasonal menus and home made pastas bring regulars back over and over. It's a small space, beautifully decorated and the service is excellent. Worth the trip to the neighborhood if you haven't been.

Love this restaurant; excellent food choices meu hand written on the board mkes for a unqiue dining experience. Earlier we brought our relatives from Portland here and they raved about this place; the staff always makes you feel welcome!

We must have gone on a good night, because we had a wonderful first experience at La Medusa. We went with friends who had been several times before, but it had been a while since their last visit, and they were eager to try it again. Reservations recommended on a busy Friday night, but they decided they could seat a... More

This apparently is Medusa before Athena did a number on her. No snakes, no ugliness, only beautifully crafted, beguilingly fresh, sumptuously seasoned fare that is a treat to all senses. I can't wait to go back and give myself to another of La Medusa's temptations. The experience recalled one in Palermo -- casual place, food for the gods, animated patrons.... More

If you love Italian food, seek out this little gem in Columbia City. The pasta is made fresh in-house, and was cooked to perfection. It was topped with a beef and pork ragu that took me back to Italy, and just made me smile. I've read other reviews that were critical of the service, but that was not our experience.... More
