Came for the cooking class they advertised at groupon. They said there's no more than 10 people in a class but there were 12 of us and there wasn't enough food prepared for us to eat.they could've increased the food they prepared for us to cook since the ingredients are not really that expensive. - the 36 dollars they advertised... You can customize the set price $25pp dinner menu - which is to upgrade from the house wine. Can ask for options at 30pp price point, and beyond - your choice. The food! Yum on pasta, bean soup really good (slightly over-salted), bruschetta flavors divine. The chicken with goat cheese was beyond what was expected. Will be back, happy to... More

Tucked away in a small corner of downtown Seattle you find Al Boccalino or little Italy as it has been deemed. After being seated we were greeted by the owner, a bubbly, friendly Italian man (who slightly resembles a grey Mario or luigi) who spent the evening going from table to table and making sure everyone was enjoying their experience.... I've gone to Al Boccalino on several occasions. Once for a fun evening cooking class, once with friends for a significant milestone birthday and several times just because I like a good Italian meal that is closer to what my Nonna served than the typical restaurant version of Italian food. The restaurant owner, Luigi, has been a fixture in Seattle... More

We went with a coupon from Groupon.. sounded good but that Menu were obviously the cheapest things on the menu, small portions AND the price for a second cafe of wine was HIGH for cheap stuff. FULL price menu and other customers plates looked MUCH better.. Entrees were pricey even then.. Check menu carefully and don't think it will be... More

My husband and I found this place while looking for a romantic dinner for our last night while visiting Seattle. We knew they had a three course meal option with wine. The building is brick front and does look quant and romantic inside and out. We were greeted by two servers one of which asked us what promotion we wanted... More

We went on a three course deal and received a delicious meal. Limited, due to the three course plan, I was at first disappointed at the range. My dinner companion pointed out the problem of keeping the three course menu simple. Other friends had gone for lunch and found it delicious and with a broader menu. I had a great... More

For starters, this restaurant is vastly underrated on TripAdvisor from my experience! The food, atmosphere and staff are outstanding! My family of 8 adults (two are college students) dined here on December 20th at 7:00 PM, as we had a last minute change of plans and all of the "top" restaurants in Seattle were booked solid unless we wanted to... Ever read reviews of a restaurant you just went to and wonder if you went to the same place? We (two couples) had the cooking class at Al Boccalino and had a great time. It was a class of 14 and we prepared a simple Tuscan meal of polenta, pasta, etc... The instructor was more than competent and (though an... More

We were part of a cooking class/5 course dinner group. I paid $69.00 for what was supposedly a $240.00 value. The voucher I purchased said that there was a limit of 10 people for the class. The voucher said the amount did not cover tax but said nothing about an 18% tip being automatically added. Our experience was as follows:... More
