I like the environment -- comfortable, with high ceilings and usually available seating. The service was once kind of catty but friendly other times. Good cookies; coffee was nice as well.

Quiet place. Easy to miss. But don't. Staff is friendly, art on the wall is local photographer today. An unabridged dictionary and a large globe welcome you as you enter. Well lit and above all, strong, smooth coffee. And salted caramels. A nice stop. Highly recommended. I wasn't hungry enough to order food, but the sandwiches looked great.

If you don't already have a favorite go-to Seattle coffee house (no, Starbucks doesn't count), Zeitgeist will fill the bill. Located a couple of blocks from the King Street train station on the corner of S. Jackson St. and 2nd Avenue, floor-to-ceiling windows wrap around the outer wall giving a nice view of the vehicle/foot traffic on both streets. The... More

I loved to go here at least two times a week. It's like eye candy looking at people passing by from behind a glass. I love to sitting at the bar stools looking out on the streets.

Wonderful coffee and wonderful ambience in a big light-filled circa 1900s space. Friendly and efficient staff.

What a pleasure it was to find a coffee shop in Seattle that wasn't a Starbucks. We visited en route to Safeco Field fir a Mariners game. The coffee was good as were the pastries that just had to accompany them. The interior was eclectic and a refreshing change from the corporate interiors of the chains. Recommended

Just across the street from the Klondike National Historical Park sits this neighborhood type coffee shop. After going through the NHP we were happy to sit and sip coffee and eat their home-baked typed goodies before it was time to catch the bus.

Here on business and trying to explore the city as much as possible before and after work. The staff was very friendly and helpful (I'm a virgin coffee drinker). The caramel latte was exactly what I wanted!! Delicious in every way! I also had a goat cheese and egg breakfast sandwich - YUMMY!!! Love this local spot. Definitely recommend. The... More

I visited here on a weekday morning and loved it. I got a breakfast sandwich. (Egg sandwich w ham cheddar cheese chipotle mayo on brioche roll) It was hot, crispy, and flavorful. The line was short, the food came out fast,, and the atmosphere was great. Lots of magazines and reading material. Not in a convenient location to downtown but... More
