My husband especially likes this place. It's a nice steak house that also has great seafood. It's within very close walking distance of Talaris, the hotel we stayed at and is right across the street from University Village.

This steakhouse is just 5 minutes east of the University of Washington in Seattle. We called ahead for reservations but were informed in a friendly manner that Jak's did not take reservations. They did indicate however that a table for 4 was available if we would arrive in the next 30 minutes. And so it was. We were seated right... More

My wife and I really enjoyed our meal. Seating was immediate, which was nice. The price was a little high, but it was worth the splurge. Unfortunately, when we returned to our car, we discovered a nasty ding in the door. Next time, we'll probably find a different place to park--but we'd come back to Jak's next time we're in... More

I've only had dinner here once (and wasn't overly impressed). Breakfast, on the other hand, is amazing! Best biscuits and gravy this side of the mountains. Steak hash is my favorite (light on the gravy, otherwise it is a little too sweet). No stop is complete without an order of the Jaks pancakes (hashbrown-ish type concoctions that are to-die for!).

Over rated place!!! It's old inside, service is terrible but they now how to charge you. If you will charge close to $50 per plate, make the restaurant appropriate to it. Place two orders and both wrong. Steak I had was the worst steak I ever had in my life and trust me, I go to nice restaurants all the... More

Jak's has so much going for it. Not only does it give a 10% discount to caregivers (parents, grandparents etc) of patients at Children's Hospital, but the food, atmosphere and staff are great. My husband and I ate a most wonderful meal there. His steak was perfectly cooked and my Panko crusted halibut was to die for. There are several... More

Funny thing happened. Two waiters with order pads and pencils ready to take our order. The trainee should have been announced. Good hamburger but with only one ring of an onion slice. I asked for a onion slice and was brought one more ring. If you get 2 slices of tomato why not 1 slice of onion? The order of... More

Wife and I discovered Jak's last year and have been a fan since. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the food is just terrific, and an overall terrific experience nearly every time. While their specialty are steaks (their filet mignon is a must try for steak fans), I had their halibut previously and that is top notch, too. One thing... More

I have made Jak's a priority for a steak dinner for several years. I have dined at all three (3) locations. The last couple of visits have been at the Sandpoint location. The food has arrived cold, bland and caused us to question ever coming back. Too bad, because when Jak's is on its game, the quality and value has... More
