Nice place with great beer selection

The place is somewhat unique and has a great variety of beers. The food (chicken burger) was not so great, but some people had pizzas and they seemed to be very good. I would recommend if you are a fan of beers. Walking distance from Seattle downtown.

Huge selection of craft beer. Delicious wings and giant chocolate chip cookie with salted caramel sauce. If I lived in Seattle I would definitely be a regular !

What a fun place. We had a group of 10 from work and everyone loved what they ordered. What also made it cool was the atmosphere. Since this place was a funeral home in the old days, it's really interesting inside with great woodworking and big windows. If you like great beer this is the place to go....good food, atmosphere,... Tried this place on a whim out of interest in the novelty of beer and pizza in a converted funeral home. We arrived early (6:30PM) on a Saturday and the place was half full with the young and hip of the Capitol Hill neighborhood. However, the indigenous life did not seem spooked by an elderly middle-aged couple and it was... More

If you're looking for a good beer bar, you should enjoy Pine Box. Always a nicely balanced beer list, with some rare options for the adventurous types. Nearly always a local cider on tap as well as NW IPAs. The porcini popcorn lasts about 5 minutes because I totally inhale it. The pizzas won't change your life or anything but... More

So we are wondering up Capitol Hill from the city and my wife sees this funky place and the next thing we know we are ordering a pizza from one of the disinterested servers and drinking excellent beer. The former funeral home is well......... atmospheric and while that pizza if an indicator of the food was.... okay at best, we... More

My friend and I came here for dinner. It has a nice young crowd vibe. They have a huge list of beers (and ciders) on tap. They also have a few sours which was awesome. I saw on the menu that they have sour Mondays were they tap a new sour every week. I had a salami and spinach pizza... More

For years, I knew this as a funeral home and a law office. Imagine my surprise as going inside for the first time and seeing this marvelous space. It is more like a cathedral than a place to enjoy beer and we are all the luckier for it. I enjoyed multiple trips here last weekend and the beer selection is... More

I had only an afternoon to spend in Seattle. When my first destination would not open until 6:00 PM, I called a friend familiar with establishments in Seattle that feature beer. He stated that if I could wait until 3:00 PM, The Pine Box would be an excellent choice. He was absolutely right. There were 33 different beers on tap,... More
