The Rhodenedron closed in 2012 and reopened in 2013 as The Rhody on Spring. Instead of being a full restaurant with a breakfast buffet, it is now open only during lunch-early dinner hours (10-6?) and serves sandwiches, salads, soups and pastas. While the food it pretty good, the selection is of medium quality. The BLTA (bacon, lettuce, tomato and avocado)... More

The Rhody was a serviceable cafe connected to the Inn at Virginia Mason. It's breakfast selection was not so ample, but the food quality itself was fine. The service was very amicable and the outdoor seating was pleasant.

Limited menu and hours, but good food and reasonable prices. I felt welcomed every time we went there. The food was good and quite a bit of variety for a small place.

Excellent food and service...loved the cranberry tea! Great soup, salad, and location off the beaten path. A few minutes walking distance from downtown hotels.

I think a lot of us probably end up at this restaurant because we're visiting someone in one of the nearby hospitals. Still, I had one of the loveliest dining experiences I've ever had at The Rhododendron. The staff was terrific and the food sublime. And I'm a celiac (gluten intolerant) and vegetarian. This did not phase the staff or... More

Ate there for breakfast the two mornings I was in town. Everything was exceptionally good. Great coffee and service!

They have a great variety. I was at the hotel for over a week and ate most of my meals there. My friend is gluten intolerant and they were very accommodating. They have a gluten-free pasta and the chef made a real tasty vegetable Alfredo pasta dish for her.

The Rhododendron is a wonderful little cafe in the Lobby of The Inn at Virginia Mason. The staff is friendly, helpful and even a bit entertaining. Over the course of several days I had the opportunity to try breakfast lunch and dinner. The Spinach omelet is good and served with potatoes and toast, the hamburger is excellent and I'd recommend... We only had one meal here - breakfast - but it was quite good! The waiter wasn't overly personable, but the service was quick. The fresh fruit cup was good, and the cheese, ham & mushroom scramble was delicious!

After a short visit to Seattle and the Inn at Virginia Mason, we encountered a superb breakfast at The Rhododendron. Scrambled eggs were fresh, excellent and large helping. Cinnamon roll was fantastic. Orange juice seemed freshly squeezed. But the cream of the crop was the French Toast that my wife ordered. Only had a bite or two but arguably the... More
