The place was fun and the food was exceptionally good. Both of us had the fried chicken sandwich on the recommendation of our larger than life server. He was right - it was excellent. One of the best sandwiches and some of the best fried chicken we've ever had. I see another reviewer mentioned that he or she wasn't thrilled... More

Went twice and both times very good food and service. I honestly think they have the best cobb salad I ever had. Desserts are great too. I would recommend this place to anyone.

I made the reservation via opentable.com and they kept my table for 15 minutes past the reservation and I was glad. Food are excellent. Spent $80 for two.

Our adult family of 5 had breakfast here while on a 3 day Seattle trip and loved it. Everything was delicious! Everyone got a different breakfast and we all passed around the dishes to share a taste. Good coffee and even chocolate milkshake with bacon!

Went for dinner here and had a great meal. Funky, eclectic menu but, don't let me scare you. BTW, nothing is cooked in a skillet!

Went for breakfast. Both of us had a concern about the quality of the oj. My friend very politely inquired of the waitress if it tasted all right to her and she promised to check. Time passed and she wandered back and left again with no response. When I finally brought up the concern again she snapped that she was... More

Went to the Skillet Diner (not) for breakfast with friends. Was one of the few places in Seattle open at 8 AM for breakfast on a Sunday. Am a vegetarian and was struck by the complete lack of available menu items for vegetarians. Everything on the menu contains meat. Companions got the scramble, which looked like one scrambled egg and... More

Went for breakfast with family in Ballard. Very clean, loved the atmosphere. Food was awesome and our waitress couldn't have been nicer. If you go for breakfast you have to get the homemade donut holes. We shared 2 orders of them for a group of 8 before we all ordered our breakfast. Yum!!

Yet another TRENDY, HIP Seattle eatery, calling themselves a "Diner". Look it up people! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diner Anyway, met some friends for lunch, first time... wanted to see what all the hype was about. Service was good... menu... a bit small (see NOT a diner). Had the pork rueben, it was OK, way too many fennel seeds... made it... weird. Not sure... More

Heard about this from an airport ticket agent. It's a short walk from our son's home, so we went for late breakfast on a Sunday. Outstanding food. The cornmeal waffle with eggs and pork belly was great. And if you go for the bourbon and peanut butter milk shake, get two straws to enjoy it with your companion.
