Asian with a twist

We go to Revel every couple of months, and there's always something new on the menu. I would be happy just eating the sauces they put on the table. Very creative takes on pan-Asian food, with a Northwest twist. The rice bowls are my favorite. Plus their sister space next door, Quoin, is a great... read more

We had only been here for lunch, and went for (us) an early dinner before a play. It was a week-night, and we still had to sit at the bar at 6:30 if we didn't want to wait. Service was good, with our server making sure we were OK with time. Because it was so early, we weren't that hungry,... More

We sat at the bar and watched the kitchen staff at work. Within fifteen minutes, we really wanted to order one of everything. The food was so beautiful, as it was prepared and being served. After we finally settled on four menu items, we still wanted to order everything, because it was so damn good. I would say that if... More

This place is very hip, busy, and a visual delight if you sit at the counter and watch the open kitchen at work. The food is good, too! The parking in the Ballard area of Seattle is bad.

This restaurant was recommended by several people I ran into. I too, recommend it. The portions are generous. Might be good to take a friend because it's all wonderful. A very nice couple sitting next to me, invited me to sit at their table and we shared. Octopus salad, Taro pancake, and Dungeness crab noodle. I have nothing more to... More

Everything about this place was A#1: delicious, creative, reasonable price, fine service. Loud but you'd expect that in such a hipster place.

You can't beat Revel for creative, flavorful food at a really decent price. The range of sauces that come with each meal are spectacular. Each of their rice bowls is super satisfying and balanced - you get a good portion of protein as well as vegetables. We get take out from Revel once a week and enjoy coming in for... More

At Revel you have a feeling of eating in the restaurant's kitchen. It is neatly done with a beautiful wooden bar and a big open dining/kitchen room. The food was beautifully presented and the flavors were well combined and highly innovative. The dumplings were some of the best I have ever tried and the noodles had a very rich flavor... More
