Hunger is opened under new owners - the Chef is the owner as of the middle of May 2014. We wandered into Hunger because we were hungry and my husband is always in search of a good Manhattan at Happy Hour prices. His Manhattan was good, the food was excellent as was the service. They do things with Brussels Sprouts... More

My wife and I joined another couple, one of whom was rather particular and needed some substitutions that were likely not easy to carry off. Apps's were damn good, the pork belly being notable for it's salty, fatty wonderfulness. My tomato bisque was fine, perhaps not as elegant and abit too salty for my tastes, but good. I had the... I am left feeling a little indifferent after dining at Hunger. It was okay but not great and expensive for anything without meat. The carnivore in our group did really enjoy it and has declared we will be trying it again. I will give it another shot. House smoked salmon was more like salmon jerky, dry and very salty. Risotto... We dropped by to grab an outside table and an early dinner. We enjoyed happy hour prices which were just discounts on the regular menu...still a value. We did not have a full meal, so I cannot comment on that, but I had a great salad and the stuffed figs...they were so good we will be back to try other... More

Dined there on Sept. 11th for dinner. My husband and I were glad to have recieved a dining voucher otherwise we would have not gone there at all. I've read average reviews about Hunger. We liked the space; abit noisy though. It is kind of a sports bar trying to be classy? Not sure. The music was a mish mash... More

I got the pork belly and it was spectacular. I highly recommend it. Great atmosphere and very friendly staff. Portions however are small so save this a rest day rather than after a big day of sight seeing.

Drinks and atmosphere were divine. Steak tartare out of this world. The meat plate was also good. Paella delicious. The pate was average. We had a table of 6 and shared everything family style. It was the last night that my brother was in town from LA so it was sort of a celebration. Overall the experience was delightful. Exactly... More

I came excited to taste the favors of France, Spain, and Italy. I left dissapointed with the food, but happy with the wine. The waiter initially tried to stear me towards a pulled pork dish. I picked the Cassolet listed in the menu as being made with pork sausage and bacon, like what I enjoyed at a brasserie in Provence..... More

We visited the restaurant liking the name of the restaurant. That is about all we liked. The food was expensive and all mixed together (i.e. like potatoes, eggs, sauce, veges) Didn't really like the presentation and is was very fatty (oily). Probably won't eat there again. The seating is hard and uncomfortable. I could not recommend this restaurant to my... More
