This restaurant has some interesting menu choices, large selection of appetizers. Menu includes gluten free and vegan choices, which is nice when entertaining a crowd. Service is a bit slow, they seemed to be understaffed. The waiter was very helpful in guiding us in our selection.

We chose Golden Beetle because of its gluten free menu which one of us needed. Ordered harissa chicken wings, pizza and moussaka. Chicken wings were too hot and not enough flavor. Pizza was nothing special. We were surprised by moussaka, because it had consistency of humus. We didn't specify we wanted gluten free moussaka, so when it was served with... More

The owner cares deeply about the food, and it shows, from the quality of the food to the preparation of the drinks and training of the servers. They even asked us to fill out surveys about the food after dinner, which I loved! I had a chicken dish with yogurt and apricots that was so good, I made everyone try... More

We went to Golden Beetle on New Year's Eve when there was an abbreviated menu, and I was worried that my friends might not like what the limited menu offered. However, I needn't have worried. Everyone was very happy, and said they were glad to be introduced to it and would definitely return

This was our first time at the Golden Beetle and we will be coming back. We had a party of 4; 3 of us ordered from the Restaurant Week menu and were pleased with our selections. The Salmon Kefta 1st course was by far the best bite of the night - perfectly prepared and delicious! Another must try - Black... More

This is one of Seattle's true dining gems. The food is exquisitely prepared, a contemporary take on Middle Eastern cuisine. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, but you can still hear your table partners' conversations. And the service is friendly and attentive. I visited them during Seattle Restaurant Week, so the cost was lower than it would have otherwise been.... More

The Golden Beetle's front door displays awards and accolades that the restaurant has earned, so our expectations were high when we entered for lunch. But we wondered why we were the only diners in the place between noon and 1 p.m. We soon decided that our meals -- if typical fare -- answered the question regarding the lack of a... More

The Golden Beetle food was great. We did the small plate, sharing thing in our group of 5 so got to try different dishes. It was a very hot day and evening in Seattle, a city not used to that so not really well equipped to keep the visitors cool. I recommend trying the 3-dip appetizer plate for the variety... More

I was expecting more from this "foodie" destination. Compared to many restaurants, it is well above average, but for the group it is competing with (and priced with), it was just a so-so experience. First young woman we saw at the host stand apparently couldn't be bothered to smile or acknowledge us. Thankfully another came along quickly and helped us.... More
