Great restaurant. Enough choices to find something you like, but not overwhelming. They work very well with order as you go. The grilled romaine salad was wonderful, and the scallop and toasted quinoa was our favorite. Comfortable and intimate dining area.

You had me at the bread and butter!! I've never had anything like it. melted butter, with pine nuts and "I'm not sure what else." Don't wait for the meal. Eat it immediately. It's not oil. It solidifies. Next time. I'll dig in and finish it off. A lovely woman with an Irish (I think) accent, greeted us and suggested... More

Blackboard Bistro has a soul. The chef is a big, big- hearted, talented guy and the sou -chef, smaller version but with the same lust for great cooking and personally pleasing everyone, that makes this small, un-pretentious restaurant special. When I am there I always feel like each dish was cooked especially for me. Not only have I never had... More

After reading the reviews, I had to try it. I'm glad I did. The pork scallopini was excellent!! The pasta (which looked and tasted homemade?) were cooked perfectly. The sauce, was rich and delicious. My girlfriend ordered the gnochi. Might I say, I've had a lot of gnocchi, and these were the best. The mushrooms were cooked perfectly, and the sauce... More

Pork Belly??? Not in my wildest dreams! I'm usually into healthy eating, but for a celebration, I ordered the Pork Belly with Apricots and tomatoes. OMG, such wonderful flavors. The pork was succulent and oh so tender. Each flavor of the dish was distinctive and a spectacular taste sensation. We'll be back often. Our entrees were favorably priced. Thought the... More

We've eaten here several times and look forward to coming back. The Sunday brunch is delicious. We've been to the expensive Sunday brunches elsewhere and find that food to be sub-par. The brunch at Blackboard bistro was fantastic. We've only gone to brunch there once. We have eaten there for dinner and have tried many different foods. We try to... More

Chef/owner Jacob Wiegner consistently prepares food that is sometimes unexpected, but never loses the identity of the ingredients. This takes a practiced hand, and a certain tasteful restraint. My hat's off to him!

A group of eight women celebrated Christmas with a brunch at the Blackboard Bistro. The owner greeted us as we entered the establishment. From the moment we entered, to the time we departed, I was not disappointed. An interesting menu, relaxed service - no rush to get you out of the door. The food was scrumptious, the presentation was lovely,... More

This place has a brunch menu designed more like a tasting menu - you have a choice of drink (bloody mary, mimosa, coffee, etc), followed by a house baked good, followed by a choice of main course. Everything we had was excellent. There was a problem in the kitchen with one of our orders, so a n additional dish, the... More

My wife and I at the end of a 2 plus week trip in several countries found ourselves at the Blackboard Bistro for dinner. Could not have been better. Not pretentious, down to earth and casual, which works well for Us as we just wanted good food in a relaxed environment since we were both needing a vacation from our... More
