Pork Belly??? Not in my wildest dreams! I'm usually into healthy eating, but for a celebration, I ordered the Pork Belly with Apricots and tomatoes. OMG, such wonderful flavors. The pork was succulent and oh so tender. Each flavor of the dish was distinctive and a spectacular taste sensation. We'll be back often. Our entrees were favorably priced. Thought the... More

We've eaten here several times and look forward to coming back. The Sunday brunch is delicious. We've been to the expensive Sunday brunches elsewhere and find that food to be sub-par. The brunch at Blackboard bistro was fantastic. We've only gone to brunch there once. We have eaten there for dinner and have tried many different foods. We try to... More

Chef/owner Jacob Wiegner consistently prepares food that is sometimes unexpected, but never loses the identity of the ingredients. This takes a practiced hand, and a certain tasteful restraint. My hat's off to him!

A group of eight women celebrated Christmas with a brunch at the Blackboard Bistro. The owner greeted us as we entered the establishment. From the moment we entered, to the time we departed, I was not disappointed. An interesting menu, relaxed service - no rush to get you out of the door. The food was scrumptious, the presentation was lovely,... More

This place has a brunch menu designed more like a tasting menu - you have a choice of drink (bloody mary, mimosa, coffee, etc), followed by a house baked good, followed by a choice of main course. Everything we had was excellent. There was a problem in the kitchen with one of our orders, so a n additional dish, the... More

My wife and I at the end of a 2 plus week trip in several countries found ourselves at the Blackboard Bistro for dinner. Could not have been better. Not pretentious, down to earth and casual, which works well for Us as we just wanted good food in a relaxed environment since we were both needing a vacation from our... More

The chef, Jacob, has a real passion for food and it shows in every meal that comes out. Melt in your mouth! Don't skip dessert, you'll regret it when your dining partner doesn't want to share theirs.

I love this place! The food is always delicious. The menu changes and is always interesting. Everything is unique and very gourmet. It's pricey, but worth every penny. The portions are not huge, but you will leave full. The scene is glamorous, but not snobby. It's small and romantic. It's a great place for a very special occasion.

The review below this one already cited the sheer amount of butter used in the food here. It is not a friendly place for diets. But as a place to go for perfectly cooked, mostly locally-sourced delicacies, it can't be beat. The bread is to die for, the appetizers and mains are so good that they should be shared so... More

We wanted to try something new in the neighborhood and found Blackboard Bistro. Small, intimate, laid back atmosphere. The bread to start with browned butter/herbs to dip in was our clue this was going to be fun and a favorite place. Everthing we ordered was interesting, well seasoned, presentation simple and portions hearty. Our son, 10 yrs old said the... More
