Description: Centrally located in downtown Seattle, Blueacre is the quintessential American seafood restaurant drawing upon the vast array of wild seafood available from the United States coastal waters as well as carefully chosen sustainably-farmed freshwater species, oysters, clams and mussels. Blueacre Seafood will feature a full-service oyster bar and in addition to all things aquatic, farm-fresh meat, game, poultry, vegetables and artisanal cheeses. Brushed nickel accents, rich wood panels and warm leather booths reflect Blueacre's American seafood heritage. Classic handmade cocktails are shaken in a comfortable bar, well stocked with American spirits, craft beers on tap and an all-American wine list. Blueacre is Seattle's downtown seafood destination.

Food is fresh and well prepared. King and Sockeye salmon entrees were quite nice, but seemed overpriced for what we got. Halibut entrees were also good, but again, seemed a wee expensive for what was served. Our complaint with this place, and the reason it gets only three stars, is the impersonal nature of the service. Staff simply wasn't all... More

The food was disappointing. Although the fish was well cooked there was a lot of water on the plate. We waited far too long for the food to show, then one dish came and the other one came about 5 minutes later by which time the first dish was getting cold. All too mass produced and badly presented.

Gave Blueacre a try on a recent trip to Seattle. Very nice northwest seafood menu with some Louisiana influences, as the chef/owner is from the New Orleans area. An in-house smoked salmon amuse was perhaps the best smoked salmon I have had. Interesting menu of classic cocktails. Good wines by the glass. Kasu-marinated black cod was silky-good. Room was pleasantly... More

Blueacre was near my hotel and I really wanted something simple like seafood. The first visit I had the beet salad and it was fresh and plentiful. But not exceptional, I mean this is Seattle! The bread was average and the lemon butter added nothing. The second time I had curry mussels which were good, not exceptional. The waitstaff were... More

Good meal. A bit on the expensive side. Service was fine and relaxed. Various appetizers were good. I had the heirloom tomato and mozzarella salad and it needed salt but was fine. I think it is still a little early in the season. The portion was very big. Also had the dungeness crag cake that was a small portion for... More

I was really ambivalent about going to this Restaurant. The reviews went from one side of the scale to the other. After our Concierge also suggested that we go there- off we went. It was OK. We liked the atmosphere- cool and clean. Service- new, casual and not nearly what I would expect for an upscale and not inexpensive Restaurant.... More

We sat in the lounge because our concierge recommended their happy hour. The ice bar was very beautiful. The happy hour menu was very limited, however. We tried the crab and shrimp tater tots and the cheese plate and they were pretty mediocre. We ended up ordering our entrees from the regular menu. The fish and chips came with a... More

Blueacre's location near downtown hotels might make folks wary it's a tourist trap. During our recent visit many nearby diners were out of town visitors. But the menu and venue should be appealing to locals as well. The owners (affiliated with the excellent Steelhead Diner in the Pike Place Market) have extended the same attention to quality ingredients in this... More

We tried a few appetizers..crab and shrimp tater tots, oysters casbarian, fried smelts. The tator tots need a bit more sauce, the oysters were good. I ordered a cioppino. It was not upto expectations. Sides (steamed vegetables and fried corn) were good.
