Expensive but good

Went to Blueacre last night for dinner. The salads and clam chowder were really good. Entrees were fresh and the portions were huge. Prices were a little high (our bill was $170 for 3 people without alcohol) so not sure that it was that much better than some of the local places by the water, but... read more

We ate here for lunch and the food was fantastic. I had the sole and my wife ate the arctic char. I have never been a fan of arctic char before but I tried it and it was the best char I've ever had. Both entrees were great and hands down the best food we had in Seattle. There was... More

I dined here with a large party (business colleagues) so we convened in a private dining room at the rear of the restaurant. I was excited to be in the Pacific Northwest, known famously for its seafood. My preference has always been shellfish over fish dishes. But because there were so many of us, our hosts wisely pared down the... More

Blue acre is a very satisfying place for lunch. The menu is pleasantly varied. The staff is attentive and helpful. The price is right. The ambiance encourages conversation. The noise level allow conversation. You can't go wrong here either as a tourist or a downtowner. I plan to go back.

Last night in Seattle so wanted to go somewhere nice. This place has good service and good flavors. Friend had the salmon and I had the black cod which I would recommend even if you're a salmon person like I am. I can see why it is one of their signature dishes as the flavors were excellent. The servers are... More

This is a great place to dine out with family or friends. I was here on business and was amazed at the exotic sea food and great wine List.

We had a group dinner and everything was excellent. Service rocked with constant attention to detail and the food was outstanding. We started with the seafood tower of appetizers, with clams, mussels, oysters, lobster (etc!) and it was all fresh and tasty! Everyone enjoyed their main dish (either steak, salmon, sashimi grade yellowfin tuna (YUM!), halibut, or ravioli).

Blueacre falls into the special occasion category, based on the various dates and family celebrations going on at the table around ours. It was pretty obvious why. The food was delicious and the restaurant has a chic modern vibe. My husband had the salmon, and it was perfect. They had run out of the halibut, so I had the cioppino.... More

Corner, downtown Seattle storefront. Clean, trendy facility. We ensconced ourselves at the Raw bar area of the Bar. Located in front of a grumpy shucker, we noticed our efforts at conversation were getting nowhere. The $8.00 cauliflower with red bell pepper appetizer had no taste. Alaska snow crab, $22.00 per pound, served un-cracked which kept my wife busy dismantling the... More

Can't beat the beer and wine prices at Happy Hour. We stopped in last night for drinks, good bartenders, nice atmosphere and well coated across the street from Pacific Place. Would definitely go back again.
