Outstanding sushi

We live in the Seattle area; my partner is of Japanese ancestry, so looking for tasty, and unique, Japanese food (Sushi Specially) is one of our hobbies. Sushi Kappo Tamura is by far at the top of our list in terms of taste, presentation, freshness, and uniqueness. The restaurant grows their own herbs and greens, they also contract with local... I love sushi!!!!!!!! And I have been to every sushi restaurant in Seattle, and many many more elsewhere. Kappo Tamura is the crown jewel on what is already a sparkling tiara. Super fresh, expertly handled, sincere and polite staff (some of who remember my name upon return), great decor and a nice location. Their miso soup is unlike anything anyone... More

We dined here last time we visited Settle and had it on our 'must do' list this trip. Either people don't venture out of downtown or this place is kept a secret since it really should be listed higher on TripAdvisor. Service is exception, the quality of the seafood is amazing and the atmosphere is comfortable and relaxing. Truly the... More

Flew all the way from Philly and found Sushi Kappo on a whim, and we were glad we did. Attentive and friendly service from everyone. We tried a number of different items including a wonderful mustard greens with wasabi albacore tuna as an alternative to seaweed salad. Our daughter liked it so much she had 2. If you are looking... Tamura came highly recommended by friends in Seattle… and it didn't disappoint at all. I booked with Open Table and totally forgot that I put down that we were visiting from South Carolina and it was our 10th anniversary celebration. From the minute we walked in they congratulated us and we had a chat with several members of the staff... More

The restaurant is in walking distance from our relatives who live just north of downtown Seattle. We arrived on a Friday afternoon, hoping that we get a table despite not having made reservations in time. Our server was very helpful and within less than fifteen minutes we were seated. She continued to provide outstanding service throughout the evening. We started... More

We really liked this place. One of the best we have been to in Seattle or Vancouver. Not too fancy and great atmosphere. The sushi and sashimi was top quality. We will definitely come back. My highlights were the geoduck nigiri and yellowtail belly nigiri. We also had a geoduck meal (cooked) that was fantastic (sorry that I don't recall... More

This is some of the best sushi we have ever eaten! If I lived in Seattle, I would eat here as often as I could afford to!

Our favorite sushi restaurant was closed today so we thought we'd give another sushi restaurant a try. Arrived at 6pm. There were only 4 other people dining when we arrived. Sat at the sushi bar. Sushi chefs were very friendly. Started off with Asahi Super Dry on tap. The albacore sashimi was fresh and delicious and the spider roll was... More
