Top-rate!! While on vacation in Seattle, we stumbled across this family owned restaurant which was fantastic! We asked for grape leaves which weren't on the menu & were served the most delicious ones we had ever tasted! My husband had the sea scallops with a spicy red sauce that had feta, peppers... read more

We always are on the lookout for Greek restaurants when we travel and based on other trip advisor reviews we tried Plaka on the weekend. The initial pita bread arrived burned on the face up side...picture about an 8/10 toast burn...why would you even serve this to a customer? The greek salad was good. The chicken souvlaki was a poor... More

This charming little restaurant has been in Ballard a long, long time and there's a reason it stays. Food is authentic Greek, owners are welcoming, feels like family. I brought my handicapped brother in and they were particularly friendly and made extra efforts to make him comfortable. Menu is large & everything I have tasted here has been outstanding.

Went here for dinner after a long day touring the city, close to the hotel. Came in because it looked inviting. Large party celebrating graduate of UW student, but they gave us a nice seat in the window near the open kitchen. Took a while for the waiter to stop by so the cook behind the counter engaged us in... More

Cozy, authentic, wonderful and friendly service, and they treat you like family, welcoming you to the table. I am looking forward to going back! We had no idea what to order, so we took the owner's great suggestions and were able to sample wine, salad, dinner, dessert and a dessert wine... it was ALL magnificently fresh, cooked and presented beautifully.... Visiting the area... tried this per tripadvisor reviews and was NOT disappointed! I love good authentic Greek food. Sweet unpretentious service, from a very kind gentleman (Greek? owner?). Wonderful cozy place you must try! The baklava is homemade and wonderful.

I have to say, I knew nothing about Greek food when I went there. The owner and his wife put an end to my ignorance in a thorough and friendly fashion. I went with a friend and it was very easy to simply allow for chef's choice. We sampled several types of Greek wine and dined on olives, cheers and... More

Needed a place to eat after going to the locks in Ballard. Decided Greek would be "safe"-we were VERY happy to have stumbled onto this charming restaurant. Obviously, a family restaurant where a lot of locals go. However, we were made very welcome and really enjoyed the meal. Reasonable prices-everything was very good. Just let your server recommend something-I can't... More

I've been here 5 times now in the past year. Great service every time and fairly certain many of them are family members. Cozy greek feel with lots of pictures of friends and family. Relatively convenient parking depending on the day of the week. They have a nice wine selection (including retsina), then yummy breads and spreads come with the... More

A Greek restaurant in Ballard, 10-15 minutes drive from downtown. We arrived with sheer coincidence, the last ones to appear, after 8 PM. Oraniya, the daughter, looked at us, took us to our table, talked with us, and we fell in love. The Avgolomeno soup arrived simmering, hot with enough lemon to bring tears to our eyes; the Octopido (I... More
