I have two great meals in Seattle -- Lark and Spinasse. Spinasse competes with some of the great restaurants around the world. Each dish was finely wrought -- a mix of complex flavors, beautifully presented. The meal was perfected paced and the wait staff friendly and knowledgeable. Kudos to the chef and the owner.

We were excited to dine at Spinasse, and the four of us had a fantastic meal. We were seated in a corner by the window, which was perfect to chat and eat. We chose the appetizer sampler, and we very pleased and started to get full, that we decided to pass on a full salad, and went to the pasta... More

On a 13 day trip through the northwest we ended in Seattle. After eating in many fine restaurants, on both the high and low end of the cost spectrums, we ended with Spinasse our last night after reading the reviews. We sat at the chef's bar...and this is truly a well run kitchen...seemless..and much more interesting than the average kitchen... More

We all have images of restauranteur Italian, ranging from those with red checkered table cloths and plastic grapes to those with finer examples of regional cuisine Cascina Spinasse, situated at the lower end of Capitol Hill, perfectly captured the cuisine of Northeast Italy. The delicate pasta (creatively flavored with cocoa buds) was as far away from Pizza and things Bolognese... More

Spinasse was long our favorite Italian restaurant in Seattle with their hearty home made pasta, richly flavored stews and braises, excellent wine collection and professional service. They were slipping for a while, but at our last two meals they've been back at the top of their form. We recently had their wonderful short ribs of beef with salted morels and... More

Five of us for dinner. Seating is not comfortable on the benches along the wall. Chairs are are hodge-podge so get a comfortable one. Supposedly known for their home-made pastas. We ordered and shared several of the dishes. Comments were that salads had the most bitter ingredients. sweetbreads were very pricey, tiny and heavily sauced. Pastas were good, but nothing... More

Lovely place with great hearty dishes of the perfect portions. The cavatelli was exactly what i was craving that day, the warmth of a good pasta packed with flavor! And the beet salad was as it should be, beets broke under the fork with a touch of resistance, cooked but still firm and delicious. Great restaurant, will return.

Excellent food, service, wine, ambience, this is a REAL Piemontese restaurant. If you want to eat GOOD you most go here. The pasta in made at home as they do it in Italy.

Somewhat casual atmosphere, nice jeans and a nice shirt are appropriate, you will find others more dressed up, some coming directly from the office. We had the Prosciutto de Parma, this is a large serving you could share with two or three. Followed by the Tajarin al Ragu o Burro e Salvia, which was absolutely fantastic, and lastly the Trota...
