Great pasta, authentic Italian

Somewhat casual atmosphere, nice jeans and a nice shirt are appropriate, you will find others more dressed up, some coming directly from the office. We had the Prosciutto de Parma, this is a large serving you could share with two or three. Followed by the Tajarin al Ragu o Burro e Salvia, which... read more

Something about the colorfully mismatched bar chairs and other reclaimed finishings make you feel instantly at ease in this hard to get into Capitol Hill favorite. The service is warm and familiar; almost like going to the home of a VIP in Cortona. Any good Italian restaurant is judged by its homemade pasta and theirs is sublime. Dish presentations have... We had a wonderful time: the room, the food, the staff all made for a very pleasant evening. The food is fabulous served without the pretension of the temple of food experience. No need to dress-up this place is casual. We had been meaning to go for dinner for a long time but just didn't get there so, of course,... More

The dining experience at Spinasse was outstanding from start to finish. We began with the table antipasti (highly recommend that), and followed with each of the 3 special pastas (entree portion). The portions were marginally smaller than I would've hoped, but delicious nonetheless and the butter and sage treatment was truly bliss.

We are still raving about last night's dinner. It reminded us all of the trattorias in Italy. The salads were extraordinary, bread and breadsticks, delicious, but the pasta was the star of the show. The pasta with butter and sage is a must have. It was nothing short of perfect. Our server was so knowledgeable, not only about the food,... More

Super find in Capitol Hill. Great service, delicious food that is capped by the distinctive taste of freshly made pasta. Definitely worth a visit.

Spinasse offers a somewhat limited menu, but with excellent flavors and results. We WILL be back, soon. The husband and I took three friends for dinner tonight -- hadn't been here in 7 years or so, since moving to the East Coast. Ownership has changed; space has expanded, but, wow!, they've kept the excellence and really deliver. Their house-made pasta... More

The food, the service, and the ambience here are just wonderful. The pasta is heavenly, and their seasonal vegetables are expertly prepared to bring out their best attributes. You will never be disappointed at Spinasse and it will become one of your favorite dining spots in Seattle before the end of your first visit.

It's a little place in Capitol Hill, with rustic interior, open kitchen and friendly staff. The hand-cut egg pasta with butter and fried sage is a must-have. The pan seared Idaho trout is another excellent dish, if you'd prefer something lighter.

Went to Spinasse while on a six-day re-charging vacation - it came highly recommended by friends. It surpassed expectations (which is hard, we are foodies and travel extensively), so much so that we booked it again for our last night in Seattle. We shared the halibut bruschetta, fine cut pasta with butter and sage and the beef short ribs with... More
