The food was very good and this was overall an enjoyable experience. But two factors stood out about our visit. If you're looking at the MP selections, don't be shy about asking what the market price is. One of our party ordered an MP special and we didn't ask and suffered a sticker shock when we got the bill. This is a great Seattle restaurant, with innovative dishes and great service, we stopped there for lunch walking back from the Chihuly Garden and went back for dinner before leaving. I recommend the seafood jambalaya and the grilled crag and cheddar. The raw bar is first rate for evening delight. The wine selection is more than adequate. I will definitely... More

We went on a Monday night without reservations and a party of five. Fortunately for us (not them), the restaurant was less than half full. We were seated immediately and the service was excellent. The attitude and professionalism of the staff led me to believe that this was the standard and not based on the limited number of diners. Everyone... More

Restaurant was quite busy. Still the service was very good. The food really good. All courses were served in a timely manner. The chef may be a local celebrity which draws crowds. The staff can handle it.

We've eaten at Seastar a number of times and haven't been disappointed. The service is excellent and the food, while on the pricey side, is always good. I only wish the tables were a bit more private and less open. I'd recommend to anyone staying at the Pan Pacific or in the South Lake Union neighborhood.

Great salmon and tuna sashimi appetizers. Dinner and service good. Appreciated descent kids menu that wasn't hot dog, corn dog, or chicken strips, actually had grilled salmon, sashimi, or chicken pasta option, though pricey for kids meals.

People flock to the Pacific Northwest for the freshest seafood. So Salmon season is the best time to come for its cuisine. Seastar is one of a handful of such places where the formula is similar and destined to work well: a proper raw bar of fresh oysters and crudos, Dungeness Crabs, Cedar-plank grilled Alaskan Salmon, and of course Halibut....
