Linda's Tavern is one of the oldest bars on Capitol Hill and has always been "a nice place for nice people". We serve food late into the night and have the coldest, cheapest beers around.

Dun dive bar, cheap food

My boyfriend and I stopped into Linda's while exploring Capitol Hill on a weekend trip to Seattle. We sat at the bar and ordered some food from the happy hour menu. I had the quesadilla and it was delicious and HUGE, really great value. The bar itself was fun - casual and laid back. There was a... read more

Food arrived cold after an hour wait. Stay away. Server unresponsive and left order on service counter a minute of ten minutes.

We originally wanted to eat here as part of our Kurt Cobain tour around Seattle because it was the last place he was seen alive. It turned out that this was a great place for breakfast as well. The Cowboy Taco was excellent. There was a atmosphere that was very authentic feeling. We almost didn't feel cool enough to eat... More

It's a bar...not right for younger kids...I got the house burger and it was the best burger that I had all year. I don't eat many burgers, but this was good. Pretty cool place, pretty funky. The bar tender seemed to be a bit bothered to see some people that are not trust fund hipsters. That's the general vibe in... More

We'd read good things and headed to this place for dinner. Two yards in the door we were stopped in our tracks by a youth who evidently works there, and asked for ID. 21 was a long time ago for both of us, but we produced UK driving licenses nonetheless, to be told that state law mandated only passports would... Good (not-that) divey bar with a friendly crowd and affordable drinks. Nice patio and a smoking area at the back. Didn't try any food so can't comment on that. Make sure to bring a passport if you have a foreign driver's license.

Laid back dive bar on Capitol Hill, Seattle. I liked its laid back grunge feel to it. Nice staff, good selection of drinks and a good size seating area out the back. Also, it has a Nirvana feel to it. As kurt Cobain used to frequently visit this place. And it was the last place he was seen alive (apparently).

Eating alone is always a challenge but especially with a hangover and wanting brunch around 1:00 pm. Luckily, Linda's Tavern has one of the best brunches I have had and I have eaten here twice, both on Saturday and Sunday. The place is always packed which is why I was directed to a small table in front of the door.... More
