Went for breakfast here twice, Planet Java is a real throwback kind of place. There are a million places like this on the East Coast, very few out here. Breakfast is tasty, cooked to order and large portions. A lot of choices including omelettes, scrambles, pancakes etc. Service is great and the food comes out quickly and hot. Only negative... More

Breakfast was great! I think one waitress was running the whole joint, but she made it look easy! Fun diner decor too!

We each has one of the "scrambled" and they were excellent. I had mine with a biscuit that was very good. I wish the coffee was a bit stronger. The atmosphere is a fun retro diner feel. I would definitely go back.

This is a neat diner that's tucked away in a corner on a side street. The valet at our hotel told us about this place so we tried it out for breakfast. Had the Joe's Special while spouse had the California omelet. The hash browns were a little greasy but that's how they are. Other than that, the food was... More

Can't fault this 'throw back' diner. Good value and service in a 50s setting! Recommended by Merchants barmaid. Would return!

Had a great breakfast at Planet Java. Fun and funky interior with loads of clocks on the walls which my kids especially liked. My omelette was tasty and the staff was very pleasant.

We were staying in Seattle new Pioneer Square. First day we decided not to eat breakfast at the Hotel. We found the Plant Java Diner and decided to give it a try. First we loved all of the clocks and the decor. We sat at the counter. The menu is small, but all of the food was good. My wife... More

Had breakfast over the holiday weekend. It's a very casual place ("seat yourself" sign up when we arrived, although they did flip over to "wait to be seated" during our visit), more geared towards quick dining than to lingering and lounging. The breakfast foods were fantastic, probably the only place in Seattle where my husband's sunny-side-up egg was properly cooked,... More

This was an experience. Like walking back in time to a 50's diner. The decor (wall clocks) showed time from all time zones, and the many variations were fun to explore. As for the food....awesome. Generous portions, made to order...awesome nice treat before heading out for a day of working. I had the house scramble, with homefries, rye toast and... More
