This place is very loud and you really shouldn't expect to hear anyone at your table unless you also shout. The food is OK but a little pricey. It seems management allows the waitresses to quietly add a 20 percent tip to your check for parties of two!!! at least the waitress MissyS does. The check still has a blank... more

On our recent visit to Skagway, we looked around for a nice restaurant in the main part of town to no avail....everything seemed to be pub food. We asked a clerk at a store for a recommendation and he quickly told us to go to the Stowaway. Situated right down at the docks, it didn't really look like much from... more

Probably one of the few good restaurants in Skagway. Good fish selection. The young lady serving was so wiggly with good intentions that she made us laugh. more

I've been going to Stowaway for more than 8 years. At least once a week every summer, some summers, three times a week. Amazing food with excellent staff. Consistent, fresh, and it's so nice to feel appreciated as a customer. Poisson de' glace is to die for and the caesar salad is even better with extra cheese. Fresh Alaska seafood... more

Wow, we were blown away by the excellent food here! My husband keeps talking about the butternut squash soup he had, and I'm dying for the recipe for their chocolate truffle dessert! Don't miss that! Excellent, fresh fish as well and very beautiful presentation. Wish we didn't live so far away; we miss this place! more

The food and the service here was excellent. The vegetable Lasagna Special with edible flowers was slightly overcooked, but excellent nonetheless. A nice romantic place for dinner, or sit outside and enjoy the fresh air on the waterfront. You can't miss it, there is a mermaid statue out front. more

A friend and I enjoyed dinner at the Stowaway Cafe in July '07. The food was wonderful, service very good - all with a very nice view of the marina. My husband and I tried to go here (upon recommendation from friends) a few years ago, however without reservations we were not able to get in. I did make reservations... more

Not only was the food superb, but they opened up for lunch for me, my wife and mother when they normally don't open for lunch at all! I'd sent them a note that it was my mother's 75th birthday and we only had an hour between excursions on our cruise. I didn't know that they only were open for dinner.... more
