Great food but slow service

We had lunch here on July 4th. Most of the downtown restaurants were closed for the 4th celebration. . We sat outside because the weather was fabulous and had halibut chowder, fish tacos, and salsa & chips along with a few Alaska White drafts. The food was great but the service was very slow since... read more

In the Historic Skagway Inn is a marvelous little restaurant that serves AWESOME food at extremely reasonable prices in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. My friend and I were staying at the Inn, so we were able to partake of the breakfasts as part of our stay. But we also ate dinner there one night so that we could see... More

Yes I can go eat anywhere on the cruise ship, but we really enjoyed the wonderful restaurant and sat and enjoyed the fresh food. They have home grown herb garden that they use as well. It is only open during cruise season, so take advantage.

Although I have visited Skagway a couple of times, I never happened to visit this place until now and boy, was I wrong! This place is arguably the best Restaurant in town of you are not looking for the predictable burgers, fish and chips and salmon with fries! They are located behind the Historic Skagway Inn and the name of... More

Probably the best dining in town. Did I mention the occasional entertainment? That too. I am thinking it may not be open in the winter since it's connected to a small hotel. The town kinda dries up after September.

After our bike ride down the mountain, we grabbed lunch at Olivia's. It was packed with many cruises in town. We waited quite a bit for our food (the reason for 4 stars), but when it arrived it was delicious. I had the nachos and there was a giant pile of them! They were delicious. If I ever get back... We felt welcomed into this smallish establishment. Very attentive staff. A few places to sit outside and watch the world go by.

We recently completed a 17 day tour of the Yukon and Alaska. We would rate Olivia's as the tops as far as restaurants. We had Alaska king Crab, which came witha delicious chowder and salad. For desert I had their homemade carrot cake and my wife had homemade rhubarb crisp. Our meal was delicious, the service was excellent and the... More
