Smart restaurant. Very fine menus and wines for a very reasonable price. The service is superb, attentive and courteous. We hope to come again.
We went for the 19 Euro menu on the terrace. Setting is s bit fake and "kitsch" but service and quality of the food is very good. Prices of the wines are extremely interesting.
We had dinner at Le Rempart when passing through Tournus on a boat. The restaurant is very elegantly decorated, with impeccably dressed staff who are professional waiters. We dined in the Ramparts Bistro bar where we received good service and excellent food. The wine list was excellent, as you would expect from this area. Locals find it more economical to dine in the Bistro than the more expensive main hotel restuarant.
I chose Le Rempart's bistrot even before reading the reviews on Tripadvisor because what attracted me was their website menu. Everything from the entrées to the desserts all sounded interesting, with a good variety of dishes to tempt the palate. We really enjoyed the local chicken that was served with a morel cream sauce. The only part of the meal... More
This hotel has two restaurants. "Restaurant Gastronomique" and "Le Bistrot". Both restaurants serve excellent food and the surroundings are pleasing and relaxing. Guests are made to feel welcome and "at home". The menus are changed on a regular basis, so there is always something new to please the palate.
