Very good value lunch

The plat du jour is alive and well and living here. 14.50 euros for two courses is great. The lunch time atmosphere is great and you can struggle for a table but that is a good sign.

Having lived in Morlaix for seven years (and Paris for the previous seven years!), I can safely say that La Terrasse is the benchmark in this town as regards a place for lunch in the week. It is a Parisian-style brasserie, with grand, 19th century decor, lots of gold paint, copper fixtures and fittings on the bar and big mirrors,... More

We have eaten in this restaurant over a period of 15 years and really enjoyed it, but it has been 5 years since we last visited and it was really really disappointing. Recalling a truly memorable lunch we had on the previous occasion my husband said he would like to have dinner there on his birthday. The decor is the... More

If you come across on a brief booze cruise from Plymouth, this cafe is where a lot of British come very early for a simple coffee and a couple of croissants. I have done it maybe ten times. If, as usual it's a Saturday, it's also market day along the carpark under the viaduct and up in the market square.... More

Acouple of years ago I posted a review “Best croissant ever” I had one here yesterday and can confirm that you can still get the “Best croissant ever” at La Terrasse. I have made croissants many times but they are not as good as the ones that you get here, Also very good coffee and good service.

Like hundreds of thousands of other Brits who have pitched up in Morlaix from the early docking Ferry at Roscoff during the last forty years, many come down onto the parking area near the Viaduct before planning their day. There are usually lots of stalls being set up along here on Saturdays and the towns market back up through the... More

On the last day of our holiday, my wife and I had lunch here. We were happy to use our (not brilliant) French to order but the waiter insisted on speaking English to us. He informed us that they had run out of their plat du jour so we both ordered the entrecote steak to treat ourselves. The waiter asked... More

Has lost a bit of its charm since it changed hands a couple of years ago and is now much slicker, the staff are very focused. Always busy for lunch and an institution in Morlaix. We had a really enjoyable meal - the main course of the day is around 8.5 euros and a small pichet of house white 4... More

As you sit in this restaurant you can't help being transported back to times of elegance and fine French dining. The building is beautiful with original features of booths, staircase, tiled floor & vast mirrors. The food is modern tasty and well presented although the menu is a little limited. Staff friendly and helpful and it is well worth a... More
