Looking for something new

Great seafood. Oyster special was perfect. The fish was very good. My wife got the ribeye and she said it was average. Our son is 10 and he enjoyed it. The service was great.

We first found the Oyster Cafe 4 or 5 years ago while visiting in the area. First experiences were outstanding. Last few not so. When we first started eating here the oysters were always cold and plump. Our last two visits the oysters were either not cold or were too small and not at all salty. Prior to that an... More

Oyster Cafe has a fairly limited menu. However, everything on it is outstanding. When my Wife and I are hungry for Fried shrimp, we come here and share a Dozen Shrimp Platter, with a salad and french fries. The service is fast and efficient, and the prices are quite reasonable. We don't eat Oysters ourselves, but looking around the restaurant,... More

The inside of this location is very boring. NOTHING on the walls. Huge open space, waiters and bartender just standing behind the bar talking. Smelled of cleaner and fried fish as we walked in. Should have left then. My salmon didn't taste very good. My husbands fried bite of a fried oyster and spit in his napkin. It had a... More

Wonderful food at this neighborhood staple! This is our second time coming and it won't be our last! My catfish and scallops were prepared perfectly - no greasy, overcooked, or soapy taste seafood here. Everything is very fresh tasting. The restaurant itself is clean with a relaxed but sophisticated feel. This not your typical seafood dive. The decor is tasteful.... More

We share a dozen fried shrimp platter a couple of times a month we have it with fries and a salad. The shrimp are lightly battered and cooked to perfection. The salad is simple lettuce, tomatoes carrots and cucumbers but fresh crisp and satisfying. The service is usually fast and friendly. We have come here for years and only had... More

Very good! Oysters - whether raw or baked are great. Shrimp is probably the best item on the menu but the menu is worth exploring. Several combo dinners that allow you to try a little of everything. One hidden gem on the menu is shrimp fried rice. Prob some of the best around. Good family place - yea, it's mostly... More

Ordered the oysters on the half shell and they were so fresh and delicious! Also got the fish sandwich -- the fish was nice and crispy on the outside, tender and flaky on the inside and moist, but not greasy at all -- just right. Also, the bread that the sandwich is on was actually quite noteworthy -- usually the... More

You have to try the Buffalo shrimp. Panko friend with a secret sauce is amazing! The staff is friendly, kind of an asian feel. Haven't really had anything else but I've heard they oysters are good.

Several years ago while visiting my sister, she took me to the Oyster Café. They simply have the best fried fish and seafood. It's always fresh tasting, never greasy, and always excellent! I was visiting again last week and our first stop from the airport was dinner at the Oyster Café. As usual, I had the fried shrimp with fries... More
