I went to this place per one of my Co-Workers telling me it was good. When we 1st came in the door we were greeted really good. Once we sat down we looked at the menu and order there catfish meal. OMG when they brought the fish out it still had the eyes and the Tail on it. I couldn't... More

I used to eat at the old location on 41 and always enjoyed the food. I moved away and lost track of them. I finally found the Oyster Cafe in their new location and couldn't wait to try them again. I ordered 6 fried oysters, 6 fried shrimp with fries and coleslaw. Everything was as good as I remembered. I... More

Nothing fancy but good raw oysters, fried shrimp and po-boy sandwiches. Prices are reasonable and the service is good.

I read several reviews of the Oyster Cafe, they are mixed and many were negative. I thought that I would give them a try. Who is the putz from NOLA that claims they know great seafood and that this place is wonderful. I left with a belly full of grease. The food was not real fresh, it dripped with grease,... More

been wanting to try this place for a while, but was disappointed in the total experience. The server who we assumed was the manager or owner was more involved with berating the help and moving the customers through like cattle then taking care of the customers already seated and trying to eat their meal. The food was bland and overpriced... More

Oyster Cafe phone number is not 770-529-2197, it is 770-529-2196!! The moving company has been getting calls constantly wondering if the cafe was open for business. If you are reading this Oyster Cafe you need to get the number corrected with all of your advertising people.

Wow. I write this having left this hot mess of a restaurant angry and dismayed. I've been wanting to try this place for a while but have been reluctant because I hardly see any cars out front when I've passed by here many times. Now I know why... Made myself try lunch here today. Ordered fried oysters and fried perch... More

Good hushpuppies, great wings, best anywhere fried shrimp, and the baked oysters are incredible for the price (baker's dozen for $10.95). The slaw is particularly good - loaded with horseradish. My cousin from Chicago and friends from Germany said the oysters-on-the-half shell were the best they had ever had.

Not sure if the poor reviews are from people that just do not like seafood or what. We are from Louisiana and we know good food. We have eaten at the Oyster Cafe on 3 or 4 occasions while visiting the area. The raw oysters are better than what we have been getting here for the past couple years. On... More

Pleasant server, surroundings ok. We were definitely the youngest in the building (40s) with the exception of the server. If you are retired and like a place to reminisce about the old days while eating greasy average food then this is the place for you. As for me, I'll not be returning.
