Upscale Alternative in Seward

This seems to be the upscale alternative in Seward, which means that you can get a decent bottle of wine and cannot get a pitcher of beer. It is a large place, but it was packed on a Thursday when we arrived fairly early, and we had to wait. We learned that on Thursdays and Sundays tour groups... read more

We chose this as the best restaurant we ate in during our stay in Seward. Great location, beautiful scenery, personable wait staff and delicious food. One of us had the Alaska King Crab legs, though pricey at $45 a pound, it was very delicious. The other had the bouillabaisse. This too was very good with lots of fresh local fish... More

Flabby bagel, tasteless melon. Go to the Smokestack in Seward (but go early, it's tiny). Buffet did not look particularly appetizing.

Lovely restaurant with a very friendly and helpful staff. Nice varied selection of food and wine. We had an interesting salad with roasted beets and walnuts for a starter. We had fish and beef and they were excellent. Busiest time between 6:30 and 7:30. No reservations for parties of less than six.

After the train ride to Seward, the Kenai Fjord cruise this was the perfect ending to a magnificent day. Beautiful setting outdoors on the patio. The bacon wrapped dates are a must. I don't like dates but other than a slight sweetness you don't taste the date. Crab cakes are delusious and the desserts are a great finish. A must... More

Great meal and great assortment of local seafood. The Thai ginger "dumpling" app was incredible. The seafood stew is a must have as well as king crab legs

When I hear "road house" I think of some place a little rough around the edges. Resurrection Road house is a actually a nice place to eat with a nice view of the Resurrection River. I had a road house burger with sweet potato fries which was pretty amazing. Rather than a boring mayo, ketchup or mustard, it was served... More

We came in hungry after a day of hiking. We wanted something quick and not pretentious so we ate in the bar. The list of local microbrews was impressive. The menu was diverse and creative. We selected the crab cakes, and a beet salad, both of which were tasty, fresh, and far more innovative than your usual fare. For desert... More
