We drove out to try the infamous crepes. We were under the impression that they served a full breakfast but they only have crepes. We ordered a strawberry and blueberry crepe which was very good and the coffee was excellent. The dining room is tiny and somewhat warm as the owner cooks the crepes in the room with you. He... More

I LOVED this place! Had their breakfast Crepe du Jour with reindeer sausage. It was huge; I could easily have shared it, had I not been alone. Loved the food and Yvon and Janet so much that I returned the next day on my way out of Seward, to enjoy the Strawberry-Rhubarb crepe. What a fun and special and delicious... More

Visit this spot to meet Yvon -- a 77-year-old Minister-turned-dive master-turned-crepe master who moved to Alaska from Belgium 49 years ago. He makes the best )and biggest) darn crepes you've ever had. And if you're a tea drinker, he'll pick a tea pot for you by looking at you and deciding it fit your personality. They just don't make them... More

We're so glad we visited Le Barn Appetit... While the restaurant closes normally at 5:30pm, they will keep it open late if you have a reservation. We got there at 6:45pm and left close to 10pm after a very memorable dinner, one of the best we've had outside. We had the Vegetarian crepes - and they are simply delicious. The... More

this place is amazing... we tried to come on the 4th of july, but they were only serving customers who stayed at the inn... but given the reviews, we tried again. I'm so glad we did! We got both savory and sweet, and are all left with huge smiles in the end. The crepe du jour is fabulous, and the... More

Our family loves crepes, loves to make crepes, and when we are traveling likes to sample other places that like to make crepes. So when we stayed in Seward for 4 days, we were overjoyed to find Le Barn Appetit. The owners of "the Barn" are just wonderful. They entertain you with stories, history of themselves the area, really keep... More

We finally talked ourselves into visiting for breakfast and now we wish we had gone every morning! The crepes are outstanding! I was talked into trying the Crepe du Jour which included reindeer sausage.... wasn't too sure about that! It was fantastic! The sausage was very flavorful and everyone loved it! The crepes are large enough for two to share... More

This was an amazing experience and one of the best and most fun meals we had in 2 weeks in Alaska including on a great cruise. Get a mix of savory and sweet and listen to the advice for the chef. Warm, friendly, welcoming!!

We loved this place and the wonderful owners. They're so friendly and fascinating and the dinner was awesome. We had the Southwest crepe with avocado, tomatoes, salsa and spinach, followed by an incredible strawberry-rhubarb puree-nutella crepe. Ivan whips them up as you watch (and tells jokes at the same time). Janet grows some of the ingredients in her garden, including... More

If you like crepes you will love these. They are by far the biggest crepes Ive ever had. We had the banana/creme one. 2 of us shared it and it was plenty. The owner/crepe maker is down to earth old school fellow. He had some great stories. If you're one of those people that like to drink wine with your... More
