Really good crepes in small eatery

Stopped for breakfast on our way to Exit Glacier. Very busy that morning. Husband and wife run establishment. There were onkly about 4 tables inside so we sat with a couple from the south. I'm not usually a fan of sitting with other people but they were frequent visitors to the area and shared a... read more

If you don't have patience and like to eat all together, this is not your place!!! His delicious crepes are a la carte, and he makes them one at a time. Well worth it!!! I had a strawberry, currant, nutella and whipped cream crepe!!! Pure bliss!!!

Crepes in.. Seward? Really?!! But I couldn't resist the idea of caribou crepes being made by a Belgian guy in remote Alaska. So I went towards Le Barn Appetit one morning it was a bloody good idea!! Yvon is a hilarious man, makes damn good crepes and engages his patrons in fun. It is a creperie by an older couple... More

Quaint little place that you have to take a short trip down a dirt road to get to(about 1/4 mile), but well worth the stop. I had the 16 inch(not kidding)Crepe de Jour, which had spinach, cheese, eggs, house seasonings, and Reindeer Sausage. It was FANTASTIC. When asking the owner which reindeer was in my crepe, he told me it... More

I went out of my way to go here because of the amazing reviews. I thought my crepe was good but not worth the REALLY long wait and the 2 trips I made there because they were not open the first time I went. I walked in and was the only customer around 8:00 am. I had an 11:30 scheduled... More

At the recommendation of fellow TripAdvisor travellers, we decided to try out Le Barn Appetit for breakfast. It's a cosy little space. As soon as we stepped in, we were greeted by fellow diners who gave us tips on what to order. (First rule - order your own crepe!) We ordered 1 savory and 1 sweet crepe. The Southwest chicken... It's truly amazing to find such great "foodie" places all over the state and with interesting characters and their places to create their cusine. Le Barn Appetit's building looks like a barn and the French speaking Belgian, Yvon who makes Alaskan style crepes now makes perfect sense how Yvon & Janet came up with their name. We shared the first... More

What a wonderful treat. Yvon and Janet are remarkable hosts . We were treated to some of the best crepes we have ever had. Not only that but the history of Yvon's diving and the stories they both tell of building this inn and the work they have put in to the business for YEARS is remarkable. We ate both... More

The four of us were the only guests when we arrived to find our 78 year old host sitting at a table. A bit dubious at first, we were totally charmed by Ivon who not only prepared our sweet and savory crepes but provided a humorous commentary the whole time we were there. Two other tables of guests came and... More

Yvan & Janet were the best of hosts and entertained us while serving a delightful treat of, uniquely Alaskan Crepes with reindeer sausage, fresh spinach and cheese. We topped it off with a desert crepe with a combination of strawberries and blackberry current. What a treat in this rustic decor of filled with a variety of life's trinkets and keepsakes... More
