We arrived right before closing, the server (Caleb) happily welcome us in. We were still adjusting to the sun being up so late, it really threw us off! Had a great experience, the fish and chips (halibut) was fabulous! The beer was cold! Caleb made us feel right at home! He came up from Arizona for the summer season to... More

We were walking the downtown streets after visiting the Sealife Center, checking menus as we came upon restaurants. The halibut taco special lured us in also. We went in expecting bar food from the appearance of the restaurant, but the salmon with a spicy glaze turned out to be just excellent - beautifully cooked and the mango salsa in the... More

We stopped here for lunch in early July. Server and chef were very nice about allowing us to share (for a nominal charge) a fish and salad dish and for grilling instead of deep frying the halibut and other fish. Very nicely done. Very good service.

The above title sums up my experience here at Chattermark. I was tempted by the Thursday daily special which is an Alaskan halibut taco and a beer. The first thing I can comment on was the friendly server, secondly this restaurant is clean and has a nice bright and spacious feel, and finally the food, if the halibut taco is... More

I have eaten the best beer batteted fish in my life here at Chattermark in Seward AK When I asked whether they have onion rings (I am French and live these), they cooked a batch just for us and they were just delicious !!!

I swore I was going to eat seafood everyday while in Alaska.. But I caved today and had the best burger! The Ring Of Fire.. Yumm! Other party members had the Tidewater sandwhich and was good. Only nasty thing was the crab bisque.. Tasted like it came from a can.

Great food but a pretty empty restaurant - deserves better. We had surf and turf and chocolate pudding - food great and service relaxed and inobtrusive.

First, know that 4th Ave is really main street, and is not among the bay front restaurants; hence a fantastic view of Mt. Marathon. Next, why the name Chattermark? No, it is not Chatty Cathy! chatter mark, small, curved fracture found on glaciated rock surfaces. Chatter marks are commonly 1–5 centimetres (1/2–2 inches) but may be submicroscopic or as much...
