My husband and I read some good reviews and thought we would try it out for lunch. We should have thought twice before sitting down when we saw that the place was practically empty during lunch time on a Saturday and oddly filled with a faint smoke. Lack of ventilation in the kitchen? The sign outside said that this place... More

This restaurant has a classier feel (for Seward) and the service I experienced here was excellent. I can't comment on the full menu because when I came here, I had soup (stew) and salad... Both items were well-portioned (the salad was huge), but I was a bit disappointed with the stew. The texture was good, the amount of meat in... More

On the recommendation of a local, we ate in Chattermark Restaurant which is located a block from the Alaska SeaLife Center and about a mile or two from the Holiday Inn Express. It was a nice local place with a bar, all handmade wood furniture, and the food was good. The waiter was a college graduate from Pennsylvania.

The menu is small but the food was delicous. The stew and soups bowls are huge though so look at the price and realize you are getting a whole meal with just the large bowl purchase... My Husband had Salmon with some kind of pineapple/caribean sauce and it was delicious and I had the beer battered salmon and halibut and... More

My husband and I drove in to Seward from Homer and just wanted something to satisfy us til dinner. He had the carribou stew and I had the chowder. Both were just what we wanted. They have an interesting menu, service was excellent on this late afternoon. Prices are reasonable compared to others.

Nice place with a wonderful halibut dish that was excellent. We dined on a Thursday night and enjoyed their $10 halibut taco/draft beer special. A great bargain.

Looking for something to tide me over and found the chattermark. They had a fish taco and beer special so we decided to try it. For an upgrade I got an oatmeal stout float. YUM! They fish taco was yummy also with a chef created special sauce. Would go back.

Stopped in here for dinner for the special one night. Great little place. Food was very good. We had the halibut which was fresh and tasted great. Nice downtown location.

The restaurant's chef has created dishes with less traditional pairings of ingredients. It works well. I had the aloha salmon and enjoyed it
